The American Red Cross is hiring SAF/IS Reserve employees to join our elite workforce of mobile employees to deploy to overseas locations in support of military personnel and DOD civilians. Possible deployment locations are Kuwait, Djibouti, Poland, Romania, Bulgaria, Lithuania. This overseas Reserve deployment occurs twice a year with the next anticipated deployment in 2026. These positions are remote based with a time commitment of approximately 6 months of being deployed overseas. Candidates may reside any location in the United States or US Territories to be considered for deployment. Where Your Career is a Force for Good! SAF/IS Reservist assist in the delivery of American Red Cross programs and services to meet the needs of United States military members, veterans, and their families in accordance with Red Cross policies and procedures. SAF/IS Mobile Reservist are an elite workforce required to deploy on 6-month rotations serving alongside military members in designated theaters of operations around the world. Reservist must be ready to deploy when called upon, and to do so are required to meet and maintain specific medical and readiness requirements. Requirements for Reserve employment includes the following: * Must be a U.S. citizen able to obtain a secret security clearance and a no-fee U.S. passport. * Worldwide mobility is a condition of employment and an essential function of this position. * Must accept work assignments anywhere in the world, including conflict areas, where the American Red Cross is providing services to members of the military and their families. * Must meet strict medical and physical requirements, including immunizations required by the U.S. military. * May be required to wear military uniforms, and live and work in harsh and stressful environment in conflict areas. Key Responsibilities: * Emergency Communications: Provide emergency communications services between military personnel and their families. * Morale & Welfare: Develop, implement, and support morale and welfare programs on installations. This may include hospital visits, canteen functions, internet lounges, libraries, distribution of donated items, fun runs and other special events. * Relationship Management with Military Command Structure: Represent the American Red Cross and promote programs and services on the installation by ensuring effective working relationships with military command structure. * Volunteer Management: Assists in the supervision of volunteer staff and management of all related human resource functions - including recruitment, training, utilization, evaluation, and recognition in accordance with ARC policies and procedures; helps ensure volunteer staff ratio reflects the diversity of the population being served. * Deployment Readiness: Reservist are required to deploy and maintain readiness at all times. In order to maintain their annual readiness certification, the following is required: * Deployment Familiarization Training on military culture and protocols, command relationships, do's & don'ts while deployed and scenario-based situations. * Advanced leadership training and advanced casework training must be completed. * All trainings must be recertified annually to ensure continued readiness * Once activated for deployment, employees will meet regularly with senior leadership to ensure readiness and ability to backfill OCONUS SAF-IS Mobile and Reserve positions as needed. * Additional training with site specific scenarios with the current employee members at their deployment location is required. * Additional deployment medical requirements must be met. * Must obtain a no-fee passport prior to deployment and a Department of Defense Common Access Card (CAC) upon arrival. The salary range for this position is $47,900 -$50,000. Deployment and Readiness Incentives are available while deployed. In 2026, RCF will launch its first open call, inviting nonprofits, public agencies, and cross-sector partnerships to propose solutions that reimagine core human needs delivery-through planning/prototyping grants followed by catalytic implementation awards Position Summary: The Program Specialist for the Resilient Chicago Fund (RCF) provides critical support to a new, multi-funder initiative dedicated to helping Chicago's human needs ecosystem adapt to rapidly changing federal policies and funding conditions. Reporting to the Executive Director, the Program Specialist plays a key role in operationalizing RCF's innovation-focused grantmaking model, which includes a low-lift letter of inquiry (LOI), planning/prototyping grants, and catalytic implementation awards. This role supports the full lifecycle of RCF's grantmaking and field-engagement activities-including applicant outreach and technical assistance, coordinating review processes, managing timelines and workflows, and ensuring a high-quality experience for organizations, government partners, and funders participating in the Fund. The Program Specialist will also help prepare materials for the Steering Committee and Expert Review Panels; develop clear documentation, briefs, and analyses; manage communication with grantees and applicants; and maintain strong coordination with internal teams across The Chicago Community Trust. Monitor key milestones, deadlines, and review cycles; maintain calendars, workflows, and shared project management tools.     Want to make a difference in the life of a young person? As a Student Assistance Program Specialist at Caron, you'll join a diverse team of over 75 behavioral health professionals and educators. Our Specialists provide services to kids K-12, as well as college students and even athletes. This position is rooted at the very heart of our communities. You'll work on-site at local schools and child serving agencies to provide the behavioral health support young people need, from prevention of high-risk behaviors to intervention services related to substance use and mental health concerns. Working in collaboration with the school professionals and parents is a primary aspect of the position, and our goal is to build resilience for the young people we work with. We offer flexible work hours within a traditional school-year schedule, meaning your summers are free. This position will work part-time seasonal schedule, working approximately 25 hours per week. The work schedule will be from August- June. Applicants should possess at least one year of experience working with youth in an educational or public health setting, and a solid understanding of the effects substance use, including nicotine, has on their development. This position is being hired for the 2025-2026 school year. Hourly rate starting at $25.00/hr. Duties and Responsibilities: Implement approved evidence-informed and best-practice prevention curricula and strategies in schools and other youth-serving settings. This delivery involves psycho-educational groups, individual, classroom and large-group assembly Provide presentations, workshops, and/or trainings tailored to youth, caregivers, educators, and/or community member audiences. Deliver intervention services and appropriate referrals for students as needed. Actively promote prevention and intervention programs and deliver outreach materials to schools and youth-serving agencies. Partner with schools, community coalitions, and youth-serving agencies to support coordinated prevention efforts and cultivate relationships with key stakeholders to expand service reach.
