What you Need to Know:
In this role, you will provide general administrative support to the business unit. You will compile basic information for inclusion in reports or presentations, and perform routine clerical duties such as photocopying, compiling records, filing, tabulating, posting information, and distributing mail. Maintain records in compliance with our record retention policy, prepare forms, verify information, and resolve routine problems. Provide support, development and/or leadership guidance to all volunteers.

Perform administrative duties such as photocopying documents, operating office equipment, opening and routing mail, preparing outgoing mail, and screens incoming phone calls.
Answer routine questions and forward inquiries to appropriate department or business unit. Appropriate administrative logs for faxes, deliveries, shipments, etc.
Assist in the preparation of correspondence. May tabulate and post data in record book or spreadsheet. File and maintain reports and correspondence.
Receive and greet visitors. Direct them to the appropriate place or staff member. May issue control badges as required and record visitor's arrival and departure.
May maintain inventory and coordinate the ordering of all commonly used office supplies.
May relieve other administrative staff in the unit during temporary absences.
The aforementioned responsibilities of the position describe the general nature and level of work and are not an exhaustive list.
Standard Schedule: Part Time, 20-24 hours a week. Monday, Wednesday & Friday are preferred, but schedule can be flexible as needed. This is NOT a work from home or hybrid role. It does require the work to be completed onsite.
Pay Information: $20-$22 per hour

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:
Education: High School or equivalent required.

Implement and execute volunteer programs and services to further the engagement of volunteers. Assist with screenings, referrals, and placement of prospective volunteers to effectively support goals and ensure placement of sufficient numbers of volunteers to meet operational needs within the assigned area. May serve as liaison to internal partners and external organizations. Provide support, development and/or leadership guidance to all volunteers.

PAY INFORMATION:
Pay Information: The salary range for this position is $26.77-$27.08.

Education: Bachelor's degree required.

Customer service experience and effective verbal communication skills are required
A current, valid driver's license with a good driving record is required.
Physical requirements may include the ability to lift, push or pull heavy weights up and down ramps and stairs, good manual dexterity, the ability to sit or stand for long periods of time and adapt to long, irregular hours and frequent schedule changes are required. Position may require a minimum height of 60 inches to ensure the ability to safely operate Red Cross vehicles.
At the American Red Cross, we conduct many mobile blood drives at businesses, schools and many other locations. All staff work as a team to setup and tear down the equipment required to conduct a mobile blood drive.
Basic computer skills are required. Must be proficient with Microsoft office applications.

Ensure products/samples are suitable for release for distribution, while meeting production goals.

The Assistant Housing Manager

Under the general supervision of the Corps Officer, the Seasonal Support Worker is responsible for providing social service assistance to clients seeking Angel Tree assistance. The incumbent will schedule appointments, interview clients, determine eligibility and perform accurate and complete computer data entry. The Seasonal Support Worker may also man the Angel Tree station at area locations during peak hours and assist with sorting and moving donations and other materials into the warehouse as well as assist in the setup and break down of the warehouse. He/she will also act in the capacity of a Truck Driver as needed and pick up/drop off kettle workers.
Key Responsibilities:
Safe operation of The Salvation Army vehicles while picking up and delivering donations/goods.
Ability to successfully interface with the public and Salvation Army donors in a variety of settings.
Answers telephones in a courteous manner and assists clients by providing accurate and complete information.
Greets and interviews clients to assess and determine eligibility for Angel Tree assistance based on program guidelines.
Enters client intake information into Angel Tree computer data base ensuring all information is accurate and up to date.
Schedules appointments for clients in a courteous and tactful manner.
Maintains the confidentiality of client information.
Assists in loading, unloading and placement of donated items into the warehouse.
Assists in keeping the warehouse orderly and neat.
