The Role:
We are seeking a Special Events & Fundraising Volunteer Program Coordinator who will plan, coordinate and implement successful events, in collaboration with staff and volunteer leadership, to raise funds for and promote community awareness of Red Cross services. Develop and execute plans to identify, cultivate, solicit, and recognize event underwriters/sponsors and other event participants. Serves as the regional development team's first point of contact for community inquiries, responding as appropriate via phone and written correspondence. Provide staff support for relevant committees. Provide support, development and/or leadership guidance to all volunteers.
Provide management support for the fundraising team's volunteer program. Coordinate with fundraising staff and the volunteer services department to identify volunteer projects, work assignments, and to recommend strategies for capacity building through volunteer engagement. Manage the engagement of volunteers through regular communications, appreciation events, and consultation with staff assigned to manage fundraising volunteers.
Provide administrative support for the fundraising leadership team through coordination of special projects, department meetings and other duties as assigned. Perform all duties and responsibilities in compliance with standard operating procedures and other applicable Federal, State, and local regulations.
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW (Job Overview):
1. Research, identify, cultivate, and solicit new and existing donors for monetary and/or in-kind gifts to support special events. Recognize potential for increased donor involvement and capitalize on opportunities to grow existing relationships. Identify event sponsors for potential enhanced or increased partnership opportunities. Create a seamless, balanced, and enjoyable experience for potential donors through effective leadership and recognition techniques.
2. Develop effective working relationships with donors, volunteers, government, and foundation representatives to nurture their connections to the Red Cross. May oversee collaboration with internal communications and marketing groups for strategies and materials.
3. Provide leadership and guidance to assigned event chairs and committees. Direct the activities of and serve as the primary staff liaison to the volunteer committees for assigned events. Provide staff support and leadership to event chairs and related committees formed to help secure sponsors and participants.
4. Create and collaborate with other staff on special event project plans and participate in budget development. Monitor event outcomes, including revenue and expenses, and results to increase special event program growth. Manage implementation and production of all fundraising events including vendor relationships, budgets, and event logistics. Coordinate activities and formulate strategies related to event program. Assess outcome of each event and make recommendations for improvements. Responsible for meeting Special Events revenue goals.
5. Collaborate with Communications and Marketing to develop materials related to events including media releases and photo sessions.
6. Direct the work of special event volunteers or staff regarding administrative support duties including recording and tracking donor invoices, acknowledgement correspondence, mass mailings, thank you letters, support at the event, etc.
7. May hire, train, coach, counsel and evaluate performance of volunteers or give significant recommendations as to those supervisory actions.
8. Identify department needs for volunteer support and opportunity for capacity operational capacity building through the recruitment, training and development of fundraising volunteers.
9. Assist with onboarding of new fundraising department volunteers and serve as the primary supervisor for new volunteers.
10. Provide administrative support for the fundraising leadership team, including the Chief Development Officer and Director of Development, which may include special fundraising initiatives, donor stewardship materials and programming, department meetings and other duties as assigned.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:
Education: Associate's Degree or equivalent required.
Experience: Minimum 7 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
* Supervise children and volunteers in Afterschool Program and Summer Day Camp
* Assist as needed in the implementation of programs such as: Troops, YPL (Teen) Nights, VBS, Day Camp, Bible Studies, Assemblies/ Chapel Meetings, etc.
* Maintain department logs including, but not limited to, attendance sheets, document volunteer hours, fill out incident reports, and notice of concerns.
* Create physical files as needed.
* Provide administrative and clerical support including but not limited to: photocopying, faxing, mailing and filing as needed
* Child Safety Duties
* Implement Child Safety procedures as outlined by The Salvation Army policies.
* Maintain accurate, organized, complete and functional files related to Protecting the Mission and Policies for Work with Minors.

Direct, manage and oversee the various property needs of the Northwest Division including property management, planned maintenance, capital improvements, and related financial stewarding of property budgets, expenses, and development, in alignment with the goals of leadership and specific unit property plans and needs.
Provide counsel, advice and support in property matters to Divisional field units ensuring that all property projects are managed to ensure safety and timely project completion.
This position interacts with Territorial leaders, NW divisional leaders, field unit leaders, co-workers and is expected to engage with, and represent The Salvation Army, with architects, general contractors, vendors, and government agencies in all aspects of property issues and management.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Property Management:Direct and oversee NW property matters for NW leadership in alignment with project management review and approval processes.
This includes maintenance of the NW Command Finance Council (CFC) agenda preparation and approvals implementation, in coordination with the NW Divisional Business Director and respective unit leadership.
Liaison with, and follow up on items as needed, with Territorial Headquarters (THQ) Property leadership as well as primary coordinator with NW division units.

Conduct facilities inspections and monitor projects for compliance and cost controls.

The Jarvie Memorial Family Lodge Program Aide will be an essential team member for the homeless shelter program. Primarily, this may include program aide work, cooking responsibilities, entry level casework, and crisis resource management. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oversee all Social Service programs-including Hope Market, Hope Garden, Utility Assistance, Rental Assistance, Clothing and Household donations, and other outreach efforts-ensuring meaningful impact for individuals and families in need.
Lead and coordinate volunteers and interns, including recruitment, training, scheduling, coaching, supervision, evaluation, and reporting, to ensure effective service delivery and a positive experience.
Manage the Hope Market to address guests' diverse needs, develop strategies to discover and respond to those needs, secure appropriate community donations, and ensure all donations are organized and maintained according to food safety guidelines.
Coordinate guest care and promote resiliency by partnering with Salvation Army units, community organizations, and relevant network groups to provide coordinated support.
Act as the first point of contact for callers and visitors, providing courteous professional assistance that discovers needs and connects with appropriate internal services or community partners.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, both hardcopy and digital, and track statistical data in accordance with audit and divisional requirements.
Maintain accurate records of funds and donations received and disbursed ensuring transparency, audit requirements, and monitoring the financial status of Social Service programs.
Oversee grocery rescue operations, collaborating with stores and community organizations to sustain and grow locations, nurture relationships, and coordinate staff and volunteers for efficient, food-safe pickups.
Generate and share program reports and data as needed to support funding requirements, collaborative partners, divisional administration, and the Advisory Board.
In coordination with the Corps Officers and staff, plan and execute seasonal programs, including food and gift collection, distribution, and program evaluation, while supporting staff and volunteer well-being. Assist with seasonal fundraising efforts such as product drives, kettle pickups, bell ringing, promotion, and event support.
Lead efforts to maintain and increase funding and resources through community outreach, grant management, partnership development, and strategic program enhancement.
Monitor community trends and resources to guide the strategic management of programs and partnerships, adapting existing services or launching new initiatives as required.
Ensure information is accurate and responsive to client needs, and guide staff, volunteers, and interns in providing fair, compassionate service that reflects The Salvation Army's mission and love of God.
Be available for prayer, counseling, and spiritual support.
In coordination with the Corps Officers develop a pastoral care plan to meet the emotional and spiritual needs of guests.
