The team operates around 50 sites in 32 states with a robust development pipeline. **About the role** The Operations Technician is responsible for the overall safe operation, maintenance, and performance of a landfill gas to Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) processing facility. This position requires 25%-50% travel per month (First 12 months in the position will require 50% travel per month when hired nth when working at an existing plant or in year 2 and beyond for a new plant). **Key accountabilities** + Manage the safe operation of the plant during assigned shift in the most efficient and productive method to maintain compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) and prescribed safety and environmental standards. + Make periodic inspections of plant equipment to determine proper and normal operating conditions. Check and record operational data such as fluid levels, temperatures and pressures, compare to trends and have the ability to make corrections as needed. + Review daily operating reports and other records to ensure specified operating characteristics in control of the plant equipment. + Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshooting on plant instrumentation and equipment. + Detect and correct faulty and malfunctioning mechanical and electrical components, devices and equipment. + Operate advanced instrumentation and process control systems. + Diagnose equipment malfunctions during emergencies and direct activities to restore normal operation or to shut down malfunctioning unit. + Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures using testing devices such as ohmmeters and voltmeters. + Troubleshoot and repair electrical system wiring from control wiring up to 480 volts. Install, remove and modify equipment. + Notify Lead Operation Technician and Regional Manager of shutdown or major changes in power output of unit. + Maintain all plant equipment and structures in accordance with manufactures and Aria Energy guidelines. + Maintain a clean work space including the plant building, control room, rest room, break room and grounds. + Write routine reports and correspondence. + Maintain daily operation logs for shift in accordance with prescribed standards. + Assist in planning maintenance and outage activities. + Assist in defining, ordering and procuring all required parts. + Responds in a timely manner to callouts and work overtime as required. + Perform analytical tests as needed (i.e. PH, Conductivity, methane, H2S, moisture). + Implement all safety procedures to included lockout tag out procedures. + Perform all aspects of Hazardous waste handling and management in accordance with training. Duties may range from filling of waste containers, proper labeling, movement of containers, completing appropriate paperwork, and signing of Hazardous waste shipping manifest or receiving hazardous products. + This position requires 25%-50% travel per month (First 12 months in the position will require 50% travel per month when hired for a new plant. A key asset for Archaea Energy, this facility converts landfill gas, collected at the landfill, into pipeline quality natural gas (High Btu or Renewable Natural Gas). The facility processes the landfill gas by removing the majority of the non-methane components including CO2, Nitrogen, water, sulfur and volatile and non-volatile organic compounds to attain pipeline quality gas. The support will range from plant optimization to small upgrade projects. This role will work closely with Operations and Maintenance personnel at the plant in support of achieving plant runtime and production KPI's. They will also work closely with in-house Engineering teams and 3rd party Engineering Contractors to develop workpack deliverables for plant modifications. A key accountability will be maintaining and updating Process Safety Information for the plant. **The successful candidate must be able to report to the plant in Throop, PA at least 3 days per week. Opportunities are available for interns/co-ops to receive training in various subject areas including Health, Environment, Safety, Security and Product Quality. Interns/Co-ops assist company professionals in implementing various health, safety, and security planning and compliance activities pertaining to the protection of human health and safety. Duties may include: facility audits; employee training programs; industrial hygiene; design and implementation of industrial hygiene equipment; equipment maintenance; participation in health safety and security projects; incident investigations; emergency preparedness and response; governmental inspections; compliance with government regulations; agency interactions and working as a liaison with other Marathon business units; and other safety and security related projects. Reports will be written and submitted for some projects. The Reliability Specialist position is responsible for leading targeted strategic and tactical reliability initiatives and enhancements, specifically focused on vibration and condition monitoring services. Acting as a reliability advocate closely aligned with Operations, the position is empowered to work independently to address complex equipment challenges. This role involves developing and implementing long-term reliability programs and initiatives in collaboration with various Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering teams. Other NG&NGLs Locations will be considered. Key Responsibilities - Creates and maintains a culture of safe, reliable, and compliant operations. - Technical authority for complex vibration analysis and multi-disciplinary diagnostics (e.g., vibration, oil analysis, thermography) on critical equipment, resolving high-impact issues (e.g., LOPC, bad actors) with industry-leading expertise. - Develop and lead long-term reliability strategies to achieve business-wide goals, such as downtime reduction and maintenance cost savings, through advanced condition monitoring and predictive maintenance. - Lead the development of condition-based maintenance, using data-driven insights to minimize unnecessary interventions and reduce lifecycle costs. - Supports Project Engineering, Operations, and Maintenance with the installation and commissioning of new equipment in accordance with company standards. - Partner with peers to integrate vibration and performance data into predictive maintenance models, RCM strategies, and long-term asset management plans. - Develop asset health indicators for critical equipment, using advanced analytics to prioritize maintenance and capital replacement decisions. - Must be comfortable working with remote supervision. - Travel is required and may occasionally include out-of-town nights and weekend travel. Education and Experience - High School diploma or GED is required. - Associate or Bachelor Degree in Engineering or related Mechanical Field Preferred - ISO Category 2 Vibration Analyst Required, ISO Category 3 Vibration Analyst Preferred - Must hold a valid Driver License and have an excellent driving record. - Minimum of 15 years of experience with reciprocating and rotating machinery repair and/or machinery diagnostics. - Thorough understanding of the mechanical aspects of gas compression equipment and their support systems. Skills - Excellent planning and organizational skills.
