Position Overview
As a Solutions Leader on Duty, you'll ensure the efficient and effective operations of the Pet Care Center to meet the needs of the guest and their pet/s. You'll work to ensure all partners are providing each guest with the best experience possible by helping them find and purchase animals, supplies and services. You'll work the cash register and ensure that our merchandise is properly stocked and priced, as well as assist in leading aspects of the Pet Care Center's business in accordance with Petco operational standards and safety procedures. You can excel in this role by exhibiting a passion for the welfare, health, and proper care of animals as well as being a positive partner within the whole Pet Care Center team.

Supports the ongoing replenishment and brand standards in partnership with the operations team within the Pet Care Center
Promote a positive leadership culture of teamwork, inclusion, and collaboration.

Basic Qualifications
Minimum high school diploma (its equivalency i.e. GED) or the equivalent work experience.
A qualified applicant will be required to demonstrate proficiency in the areas of mathematics, and above average communication skills.
In addition to having a professional appearance and demeanor, applicants must also demonstrate a keen and genuine interest in animals and their care.
Good interpersonal and verbal communication skills are necessary due to the nature of interaction with the public and other partners and leaders within the store.
Education/Skills
In addition to a high school diploma or its equivalent (GED), an applicant must be able to demonstrate proficiency in the areas of mathematics and basic accounting relationships and exhibit exceptional communication skills.
Supervisory Responsibility
Ensures partners are providing quick and courteous service to all guests throughout the Pet Care Center.
Ensures high merchandising standards are maintained throughout the Pet Care Center.
Ensures that the Pet Care Center is opened and / or closed in accordance with established P&Ps as it applies to SFS operations.
In partnership with the Pet Care Center leaders, ensure proper Pet Care Center attendance processes are being maintained.
Adhere to and promote established safety procedures for partners, guests, and pets.
Work Environment
The majority of job duties are conducted indoors, although customer carryouts and veterinarian visits will require that an employee leave the store briefly. Because this position requires bending, kneeling, moving merchandise (up to 50 pounds, as necessary) and standing for long periods of time, there may be risk of injury resulting from not following procedures. Ability and willingness to a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends to meet store needs.

This role combines leadership and direct, hands-on production work to maintain flow, deepen process expertise, and ensure repeatable, high-quality output. The manager develops and enforces timing standards, oversees hiring and training, maintains production schedules, and partners closely with engineering and CAD teams to transition designs, tooling, and advanced manufacturing methods into serial production. Additional responsibilities include first-article qualifications, in-process quality control, material yield improvement, MRB activities, safety oversight, and support of prototype builds, repairs, and special projects.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Lead, mentor, and manage a team of up to 15 employees (currently 11) across press operations, industrial finishing, polishing, complex assembly, and quality control.
Oversee hiring, performance management, training, and disciplinary actions.
Work alongside the team operating manual machines and hand processes and as needed to maintain production flow and deepen process expertise (true working manager role).
Optimize material flow and resource utilization through all production stages.
Develop, document, and enforce accurate timing standards; monitor and improve team adherence.
Generate and maintain detailed production schedules.
Collaborate closely with engineering and CAD teams to transition designs and tooling packages into repeatable serial production.
Perform first-article qualifications, validate new tooling/processes, and train staff on new equipment and methods.
Set and enforce in-process quality standards, lead material review board (MRB) activities, and drive root-cause resolution to maximize material yield.
Partner with in-house machine shop to achieve precise geometric fits and tolerances in complex assemblies.
Operate and maintain production data systems, advance tracking, reporting, and capacity forecasting capabilities.
Support prototype builds, customer returns/repairs, and special projects outside standard eyewear production.
Assist engineering in developing and implementing advanced manufacturing methods, tooling, and machinery.
Establish, maintain, and enforce safety standards and protocols for the team.
QUALIFICATIONS
5+ years of direct supervisory experience managing 8+ employees in a labor-intensive, precision manufacturing environment.
Proven hands-on expertise in machine setup, tooling qualification, first-article inspection, and sustaining consistent output.
Demonstrated ability to train and develop technicians on complex processes, tooling, and materials.

What you'll do (day-to-day) Diagnostics leadership (hands-on)
Diagnose incoming work and perform/assign triage for all service work.
Build the repair plan and determine the best technician for each job.
Provide technical guidance, coaching, and hands-on help to technicians as needed to complete repairs correctly.
Dispatch & shop operations (run the floor)
Own the workflow and daily communication between technicians, service advisors, and parts.
Run daily huddles (10-25 minutes) to plan the day: review open work, promised times, parts/approval issues, and upcoming appointments.
Practice real-time shop management: frequent floor walks to verify status, catch issues early, and remove bottlenecks (skills, parts, tools, technical support).
Update priorities and communicate changes quickly when a job is off track, needs escalation, or requires rescheduling.
Quality control & documentation (no-comeback mindset)
Final review/sign-off on completed repair orders: confirm the work is complete, documentation is accurate, and road tests are performed when required.
Own end-of-process quality checks and quickly redirect failed QC work to the right technician to minimize downtime.
Drive accurate technician notes and clean documentation standards so there is a clear story of what was found and what was fixed.
Parts, warranty, and shop standards
Coordinate closely with Parts; ensure warranty/core parts are handled correctly.
Maintain a safe, clean shop environment and follow regulations.
Maintain tool and diagnostic equipment control and accountability.
Staffing & team leadership (own the bench)
Help ensure the shop is staffed correctly for quality and throughput.
Participate in technician recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding.
Coach technicians up-or make changes when needed. This role includes the responsibility to hire and/or terminate technicians (in coordination with leadership) to ensure we have the right team to deliver quality repairs.
AI-enabled diagnostics (important)
Use modern diagnostic workflows, including AI-assisted diagnostic tools, to speed root-cause analysis and improve first-time-fix accuracy-while applying sound mechanical judgment and safe repair practices.
What we're looking for Required
Valid Class A CDL (or willing to obtain if not currently held).
5+ years of medium/heavy-duty truck repair experience.
Strong technical knowledge and diagnostic problem-solving ability.
Strong communication and organization skills; ability to lead and support technicians.
Ability to road test vehicles as needed to diagnose and verify repairs.
Ability to speak Spanish fluently.
Preferred
Familiarity with OEM and warranty processes and dealership operations.
Comfort driving workflow discipline: clear documentation, daily planning, and real-time floor management.

Ruggable is looking for a Supervisor to join our team in Gardena, California. We are looking for someone with previous experience, who is ready to take our operations to new heights.
The Manufacturing Supervisor, reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, directs and manages all production responsibilities such as safety, throughput, quality, cost control, hiring, while also driving continuous improvement and optimization of production operation processes.
This role is second shift, Monday through Friday, 4 pm - 12:30 am.
What You'll Do:
Prioritize employee safety and be able to lead project-based safety improvements
Meet safety, quality, delivery, cost and people (SQDCP) goals in a fast-changing environment
Use data to make educated decisions to improve production performance
Clearly articulate wins and opportunities to management; take initiative to cover gaps
Adhere to quality standards and drive improvements in quality and efficiency
Support and fulfill ad hoc requests from R&D, Design, and Operations teams
Train, coach and schedule production operators and shift leads
Participate in continuous improvement efforts to optimize plant safety and performance
Work collaboratively with other supervisors and managers to achieve plant goals
Evaluate employee performance, identify coaching opportunities and provide feedback
Use Paylocity to create and manage team schedules
Resolve employee issues and disputes, using HR if necessary
What You'll Need to Have:
Required:
Proven work experience as a Lead/Supervisor; managerial experience a must
Supervisor competencies - staffing, training, data analysis, resource allocation, and “sense of urgency”
Must work well under pressure in a very fast-paced environment and able to work independently with moderate direction
Strong interpersonal skills, addressing complaints/resolving problems, rewarding/disciplining employees, and appraising performance
Ability to create and work in collaborative group environments
1-2 years of experience in manufacturing field and/or warehouse environment
Flexible schedule; ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as necessary
Must be able to work legally in the United States
Conversational Spanish, Proficient English
Compensation:
$35/hr 1099, 6 month contract to hire
