Position Overview: This position involves re-reviewing processed events and assessing the accuracy of the action taken by the previous processors, with an intention to improve throughput to the client and the accuracy of that volume in alignment with the clients documented guidelines. Requires strong attention to detail, an ability to identify, document, and correct errors when appropriate, an ability to monitor for anomalies and trends, and an ability to review findings through facilitated calls with key stakeholders . This position reports within the Operations team and will report to the Event Processing Supervisor. Essential Responsibilities: Perform quality checks on open and closed events against established manuals/quality assurance instruments and standards on any active Business Operating Systems, or Processing Platforms. Update and document errors through reporting, related to findings related to QA metrics. Process escalated queues when needed and record any errors present. Participate in employee communication sessions, for updates to manuals/laws/software. Other office/clerical duties as assigned Qualifications: Preferred 3-5 years of processing experience. Quality assurance experience preferred Working knowledge of processing rules and/or ability to learn client requirements. Strong communication, both verbal and written, and the ability to determine the proper medium of communication based on issues at hand. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Dependability and demonstrated ability to document and report as needed Professionalism and the ability to work well with different groups Self-motivated, quality driven individual with a strong attention to detail. Proven ability to multi-task, prioritize work, and act with a sense of urgency to meet assigned deadlines. Ability to lead/facilitate meetings. Advanced computer skills with O365 suite and reporting databases. Ability to sit for long periods of time for date entry/ event processing.     The Mobile Source Laboratory Division is seeking a motivated and mechanically inclined candidate to fill an Automotive Emission Test Specialist (AETS) I position for the Test Support Unit (TSU). The mission of the TSU is to conduct exhaust emissions testing in support of the California Air Resources Board's vehicle testing programs. The TSU supports the Agency's vehicle testing programs in areas of certification, in-use compliance, regulatory development, enforcement, and emissions inventory and research utilizing test cells for testing light- and medium-duty vehicles, motorcycles, and all-terrain vehicles testing. The AETS I's essential duties include performing fuel drain and fill, evaporative canister pre-conditioning, setting up test equipment, driving vehicles on a dynamometer under various operating conditions, and operating exhaust samplers and analyzers to measure vehicle exhaust emissions. Additionally, an AETS I in the TSU is responsible for maintaining testing equipment, performing quality control checks, and troubleshooting minor equipment problems.
