American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Long Term Acute Care Med/Surg position requiring an active IL license and BLS certification.
Responsibilities
Work in a Long Term Acute Care (LTAC) Med/Surg unit within an acute care setting
Unit has 10 beds and provides care for patients with respiratory failure, post-surgical needs, wound care, IV antibiotics, post CVA, post trauma, and cardiac conditions
Nurse to patient ratio is 1:5
Responsibilities include PEG tube care and feedings, use and care of CVC/PICC/Midline, management of tracheostomy patients, and titration of Heparin drips
3 twelve-hour night shifts per week (7p-7a) with rotating weekends and holidays
RNs may float to ICU and Acute Rehab as needed
Epic EMR is used in the unit; experience preferred
Work closely with a house supervisor available 24/7 and supported by nurse aids/patient care techs with a 1:10 ratio
Respiratory therapists manage all respiratory equipment in the unit
Monitor techs observe tele packs housewide, with monitoring based in the ICU
Scrubs of any color are allowed; only OSF approved t-shirts are permitted
Classroom orientation followed by 2 unit-specific shifts with a preceptor will be provided
Holiday rotation and additional weekend coverage may be required
Position does not currently have an on-call requirement, but this may change
Requirements
Active IL RN license required at time of consideration
Current BLS (AHA) certification required; ACLS preferred but not required
Minimum of 1 year of recent RN experience
Proficiency in providing PEG tube care/feedings, managing CVC/PICC/Midline, caring for tracheostomy patients, and titrating Heparin drips

Responsibilities
Work in a hospital-based Interventional Radiology (IR) department
Unit includes 6 labs, pre-op, and phase 2 recovery
Handlescases per day with common procedures including GI bleeds, strokes, biopsies, central lines, and vascular interventions
Patient ratios are 1:1 intraprocedurally and up to 1:4 in phase 2 recovery
Utilizes Epic EMR and Phillips monitors
Schedule consists of four 9-hour day shifts per week, between 0630 and 1800
Not a self-scheduling unit
Primary and secondary call required for 6-8 shifts within 6 weeks, including at least one weekend
30-minute call response time required
No floating required
Surgical scrubs are provided for this assignment
Department is closed on holidays, but holiday call may be required
Charge RN is present from 0730 to 1700 and covers lunches and assists with cases
Support staff includes 1 IR tech
Unit-specific orientation is provided
Negative drug screen required for all panels prior to start
Local candidates within a 50-mile radius are considered at a local pay rate

Responsibilities
Work in a hospital-based CT scanner department
Day shifts from 10:30 AM to 11:00 PM, 3 days per week
Patient population includes all ages in a Level 1 trauma setting
Works with advanced CT imaging equipment, including CT 1 and CT 2, workstations, and printers
Procedures include routine and specialized CT examinations and invasive procedures when required
Stand-by call is required

Perform routine and specialized CT procedures with independent judgment under radiologist direction

Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric Acute care position in a Level 1 trauma setting, requiring an active IL license and pediatric BLS and PALS certifications.
Responsibilities
Work in an acute care pediatric unit within a hospital setting
Unit shares space with Pediatric Hematology/Oncology, 22 beds for acute peds, 10 for hem/onc, with ability to expand depending on census
Patient population includes medical and surgical pediatric cases such as hyperbilirubinemia, neuro, diabetes, failure to thrive, cystic fibrosis, COVID, and orthopedic patients
Nurse to patient ratio is 1:4
RNs work 12-hour shifts, either 7:00am-7:30pm or 7:00pm-7:30am
Every other weekend required (Sat/Sun for days, Fri/Sat for nights)
Use of heated high flow and Bipap respiratory equipment with specific parameters
Epic EMR is used; experience preferred
Floating required within the children's hospital to other pediatric units, may float to mom/baby for infant assignments, but not ICUs or chemo patients
No mandatory call or standby requirements
Support from a charge RN, pediatric crisis RN, and administrative supervisor available 24/7
PCTs assist with a ratio of 1:8-10 and provide additional support
Monitored patients are overseen by monitor techs for telemetry; RN does not need to interpret strips
Hospitalists in house until midnight and 24/7 resident physician coverage provided
Orientation consists of 2 shifts and may be extended based on need with management approval
Holiday coverage required unless otherwise arranged during interview
Scrubs must be pediatric-appropriate with any color or pattern for tops and solid color for pants
No COVID vaccine requirement for employment
Local candidates within 50 miles considered at local rates
Requirements
Active IL RN license required at time of consideration
Minimum of 2 years recent pediatric nursing experience
Current BLS (AHA) and PALS (AHA) certifications required
Experience with acute pediatric patient care in a hospital setting
Ability to work both day and night 12-hour shifts and every other weekend
EMR experience with Epic preferred

American Traveler is seeking a skilled RN for a night shift Med/Surg Float Pool position in Illinois requiring EPIC and Level 1 Trauma experience.
Responsibilities
Work in a hospital-based Clinical Resource Unit (float pool)
Float to various inpatient units including Medical-Oncology, Surgical-Orthopedic, Cardiovascular Care, Progressive Care, Mental Health, and Acute Rehab
Care for diverse patient populations, including acute and chronically ill cardiac and pulmonary patients
Typical diagnoses include coronary artery disease, myocardial infarction, stroke, cancer, cellulitis, and post-surgical care
Night shift schedule with 12-hour shifts, 7:00pm - 7:30am, three nights per week
EPIC EMR experience required
No local candidates accepted within 50 miles
Float to multiple units and provide specialized care depending on patient and unit needs
Perform assessments, develop and implement care plans, administer medications, and provide post-operative care
Utilize critical thinking skills to assess, intervene, and educate patients and families
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members and act as a resource for staff
Adhere to all safety standards, complete patient reports and hourly rounds, and ensure effective team communication
No travel partners accepted
Must comply with RTO policy, with time off not exceeding 7 days per 13-week contract
Returning travelers may not be assigned for more than 1 year consecutively and are required to take a 6-month break before returning
Requirements
Active IL RN license or temporary IL RN license required
Current BLS certification (AHA)
Minimum one year of recent relevant RN experience
Experience in Level 1 Trauma setting required
EPIC charting experience required
