As a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA), you'll be responsible for providing anesthesia care in the operating suite and pre-operative area. This position is Per Diem and operates alternating Mondays and Tuesdays. Responsibilities: Function as a member of the operating room team. Provide information and emotional support to patients and their families. Formulate an appropriate and safe anesthetic care plan for each patient utilizing the history, physical, laboratory data, discussion with patient and any source of information that will aid in its development Provide anesthesia care utilizing one or more of the following techniques: peribulbar, retrobulbar, topical, local infiltration, intravenous sedation and/or analgesia. If appropriate, management of or assisting the physician and staff in the management of any clinical emergency in the surgery suite or eye clinic. Participate in planning for peri-operative patient care with physicians and nursing staff. Maintain accurate and complete records of each patient's anesthesia. Alert the person responsible for restocking anesthesia supplies when items are needed. Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and an accredited school of anesthesia Must hold a current Registered Nurse license in the state of Arizona Must have current certification by the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists Must have current certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support Should have thorough knowledge of the techniques of administering ophthalmic anesthesia A minimum of one year experience and/or demonstrated skills in peri-orbital anesthesia Should have knowledge of intravenous sedation administration Should possess above average skills in communication, decision-making, diplomacy, confidentiality, initiative and ethics Must have no physical or psychological impairment that would limit their ability to administer safe anesthesia Attendance of the Ophthalmic Anesthesia Society annual meeting is encouraged FOR MORE INFORMATION, please contact Brian O. Works collaboratively with the other members of the clinical research team and the clinical and administrative support teams to ensure all protocols are followed and that there is timely documentation and submission of study data. Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent Certified Professional Coder (CPC) required 5 years of medical billing experience preferred Ophthalmology background desired Requires 3 or more years in a leadership role Previous experience providing coding education training, with preferred training to providers. Knowledge of electronic health record systems for applying codes and/or checking codes for accurate assignment based on provider documentation. Analytical skills necessary to dissect complicated issues and formulate creative solutions for problem solving. Strong background and experience in revenue cycle reimbursement. Assist in streamlining processes and training to improve patient education and satisfaction Work with Premium Services Training Managers (PSTM) to develop, refine, and properly deploy patient education content Assist the training team with updates to the Surgery Counselor Training Manual with respect to processes, workflows, and policies Review Advanced Technology KPI's and metric trends with Managers and Executive leadership Work with Managers to assist those employees or locations falling below assigned targets while developing specific improvement plans as necessary Optimize surgical workflows to reduce redundancies and streamline clinic to ASC handoff Identify and leverage technology platforms to improve patient engagement and education to improve in-lane efficiencies and maximize provider time Develop and deploy best-in-class counselor to patient engagement techniques to maximize patient understanding to optimize capture rate Maximize vendor resources and relationships to improve technology offerings and internal education materials Develop lead management protocols and process to maximize marketing and outreach investments Work directly with internal provider base to further expand Premium Services knowledge and alignment Develop and enhance consistent counselor training process and protocols Maximize patient estimation collections while improving current transaction workflows via technology Work closely with FP&A team on reports and metrics tracking Encourage a team-oriented environment supporting the AVP Mission, Vision and Core Values Understand macro and micro economic trends to effectively price and expand service lines Perform any and all duties assigned Qualifications Ophthalmology management experience desired Knowledge and experience with Nextgen EHR/EPM systems a plus Previous supervisory and/or leadership experience preferred Adhere to Good Clinical Practices with an understanding of healthcare compliance Ability to make decisions within established protocols and with minimal supervision Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to problem solve and make decisions Organizational and analytical skills with attention-to-detail Excellent customer service attitude/behavior Excellent communication skills Able to work in a fast-paced environment Must be willing to travel to all locations Detail oriented, reliable and able to multi-task in a fast-paced, high-volume work environment Ability to maintain confidentiality Strong self-motivation skills and ability to be a “self-starter,” coupled with the capability to work as a team player, as well as independently, while simultaneously managing a variety of clinical teams Ability to meet and satisfy flexible, dynamic work schedules
