American Woolen company history timeline

1917

In April 1917, the United States entered World War I. A draft was implemented, and over two million men saw active service.

1918

The war ended abruptly in November 1918, triggering widespread economic recession as millions of soldiers returned to civilian life just as the economy ground to a halt because wartime orders had dried up.
