JOB DESCRIPTION
The MedTech will assist residents to self-administer their medications, as well as assist and supervise with other activities of daily living (ADL's).The position will provide supervision and training to caregivers in the provision of personal services to the Residents. As a team member of a collaborative group of healthcare professionals, this position helps to ensure a safe and comfortable home-like environment within the retirement community setting for both Memory Care residents and their families.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist residents with self-administration of medications following company standards, and the guidelines set forth by Department of Social Services, Title 22 regulations.
Maintain accurate and complete medication documentation for each resident on medication services.
Report and document medication problems, refusals and missed medications.
Count controlled substances at the beginning and end of each shift.
Maintain proper security, storage, and destruction of medications with accurate and complete documentation for each.
Work with various pharmacies to ensure resident prescriptions are filled and delivered in timely manner.
Reviews physician orders and lab requests,and follows up with resident as needed.
Correspond with physicians to ensure that up to date and accurate medications are on hand for residents. Chart any medication changes by physicians, keeping accurate notes.
Communicate with family members to ensure residents' medications are delivered and kept stocked in a timely manner.
Notifies physicians and family members of condition changes or medical problems.
Oversees monthly weighing of residents, ensuring that every resident is weighed, weights are recorded, and significant changes are brought to the attention of a supervisor.
Assist in the collection of urine samples for resident testing. Monitors and supervises hydration and nutritional program for residents.
Maintains all supplies needed in the medication program.
Responds to resident and/or family telephone inquiries.
Is proactive in obtaining medical care and treatment for residents with medical needs, working to minimize emergency 911 calls as much as possible.
Work with various Hospice agencies to ensure residents on Hospice care are kept comfortable and the terms of their care plan are carried out.
Exercise proper use of equipment, and utilize supplies and other company resources in a reasonable and cost-effective way.
Attend and participate in training sessions and in-service meetings.

Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
Must be at least 18 years of age
Current CPR & First Aid certification
Knowledge of State of California requirements set forth in Title 22
Knowledge and thorough understanding of Gerontology, Dementia and Alzheimer's
Knowledge and ability to assist residents with medications
Ability to maintain resident confidentiality

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This position requires the ability to bend, squat, stoop, kneel, push, pull, sit and stand on feet for extended periods of time, as well as the ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.

About the Role
As a Belmont Village Caregiver, you will provide hands-on personal assistance to a group of seniors living within our large Assisted Living and Memory Care community. The Caregiver role is ideal for someone who is dependable, detail oriented, patient, caring and enjoys a high level of personal engagement with older adults.
Your Typical Daily Responsibilities
Provide personal assistance with Activities of Daily Living to an assigned group of senior residents living in our Assisted Living and Memory Care community
Encourage socialization and inspire participation in community activities while ensuring resident safety and well-being
Document care and services provided daily by following customized service plans and communicating to supervisor any observed changes in care needs

What's this role all about?
Oversees clinical pharmacy services in the medical/surgical units of the medical center.
Ensures department compliance with state and federal laws, accreditation, professional and regulatory agency standards and licensure requirements. This role is full time for ongoing work with Primary's CX Support Team. Our main Support hours are 7am-7pm Pacific Time Mon-Sun. We have two different shift options. Shift 1 is 7 am-4 pm PST or Shift 2 is 10 am-7 pm, Monday-Sunday. It's required to work a Saturday or Sunday weekend shift once a week. We're seeking a commitment of 40 hours/week and are looking for team members bilingual in Spanish as well.

We love to have a bit of banter and a good laugh.
Staff are all trained and coached in mandatory care skills such as first aid, fire safety and moving and positioning to name a few.
Broomside is a very active service but can also be quiet, as we all enjoy going out but also enjoy relaxing watching films.
We all enjoy a good cup of tea or coffee.
We live in a beautiful Dorma bungalow. Georgie lives in the flat upstairs along with the sleepover room and the ground floor is all wheelchair friendly.
All the rooms are tailored to the people we support likes, needs and tastes.
We have a shared lounge where we have a tv which has a Netflix account which is share between everyone.
We have a shared kitchen which if always full of food, drink and laughter.
Mary enjoys cooking and making cakes and timothy likes to play with the bubbles in the sink.
9pm - 8am nightshift
3 core staff during the day, 1 nightshift and 1 sleep in.
