Your Role as a Dietary Services Aide
We are looking for a dedicated Dietary Services Aide to join our team and assist in preparing and serving food to residents, family members, visitors, and staff in a skilled nursing setting. This role ensures accurate meal service according to specific diets and helps maintain a clean and safe working environment.
What You'll Do:
* Assist in food preparation for residents, visitors, and staff, including special activities.
* Attend and serve food during in-service or staff meetings as requested.
* Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment while maintaining sanitary conditions.
* Set and clear tables before and after meals.
* Maintain a safe and clean work area, following health and safety regulations.

Summary/Objective
This position is responsible for ensuring all meal items such as sandwiches, desserts, sides, vegetables, breads and other food products are prepared daily and by using a variety of equipment and utensils according to the Daily Tally sheet. The Dietary Aide Floater will be expected to fill positions as necessary and will perform a variety of tasks.
Essential Functions

Prepare, label, and stock all items for cafeteria sales.

Your Role as a Dietary Services Aide
We are looking for a dedicated Dietary Services Aide to join our team and assist in preparing and serving food to residents, family members, visitors, and staff in a skilled nursing setting. This role ensures accurate meal service according to specific diets and helps maintain a clean and safe working environment.
What You'll Do:
* Assist in food preparation for residents, visitors, and staff, including special activities.
* Attend and serve food during in-service or staff meetings as requested.
* Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment while maintaining sanitary conditions.
* Set and clear tables before and after meals.
* Maintain a safe and clean work area, following health and safety regulations.
* Adhere to the Americare Mission/Vision, Home Town Hospitality, and F.A.M.I.L.Y. values.
Physical Demands:
* Standing, sitting, walking, and changing positions frequently.
* Lifting or carrying up to 25 lbs.; pushing and pulling up to 50 lbs.
* Ability to reach, balance, kneel, stoop, and bend.
Safety Requirements:
* Follow safety policies, including the use of carts for moving items.
* Wear skid-resistant, supportive shoes to prevent slips and falls.
* Utilize protective hand equipment when handling knives, sharp objects, and hot surfaces.
* Use PPE such as gloves, hairnets, and beard guards when handling food.
* Report all work-related injuries within 12 hours and participate in required documentation.
* Participation in company drug testing procedures.
Work Environment:
This job operates in a professional kitchen setting, utilizing stoves, dishwashers, refrigerators, coolers, and other equipment. The environment includes indoor settings with adequate lighting and ventilation.
Qualifications:
* Must be at least 16 years old.
* Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, visitors, and co-workers.
* Adherence to HIPAA, OSHA, and state and federal regulations.
* Ability to follow supervisor's instructions in a safe and efficient manner.
