The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania has agencies that provide 24/7 services to its citizens. The PM Network Operational Monitoring position will provide first line network technical support to employees and business partners by calling the Enterprise Network Operation Monitoring Network Service Desk outside of regular business hours. This position requires a technical individual with a customer-service-minded approach to dealing with Commonwealth Agency staff and IT teams. The individual will work closely with Commonwealth staff, vendors, service providers and IT staff, but must also be able to work independently, multitask by prioritizing and managing their own workload, and able to ensure prompt service and end-user issue resolution.
The NOC Communications Specialist provides after-hour and weekend hours Level 1 Support by performing the skills listed below.
Role Description:
End-user Support:
• Answer inbound phone calls concerning network issues from Commonwealth employees, and LEC/Last User Contract, LUC, vendors.
• Creates and escalates Service Now trouble tickets to Engineers, tier two Commonwealth staff, and/or third-party service providers to ensure the quick resolution of IT/Network issues.
• Works with NOC T2 Engineers, Commonwealth staff and contracted personnel, and/or third-party providers as needed.
• Research and updates reference publications and diagnostic aids to seek information necessary to resolve end-user issues as needed.
• Follows IT Service Desk and Network Operator Knowledgebase procedures and makes recommendations when improvements are needed.
• Promptly and properly escalate high priority issues.
Monitoring & Maintenance:
• Utilize network management tools, such as Solar Winds and Squared up, to monitor remote sites network and hardware.
• Actively monitors the status of Commonwealth networks and attached network assets using established tools and promptly initiates appropriate actions.
• Responds to outages and system failures using established escalation processes.
• Provide first-line investigation and diagnosis of network incidents, logging all details and prioritization of incidents.
• Escalate after hours incidents to staff for resolution.
• Promptly assign unresolved incidents to higher Tier support or LUC providers to coordinate restoration of service and obtain the necessary information for recording/tracking the outage or degradation of service.
• Coordinate with network staff and various vendors to assist with service restoration based on alarm conditions.
• Actively monitors the Service Now ticket queue.
• Monitors appropriate Commonwealth email accounts for any event messages and initiates action as needed.
• Proactively identifies and resolves problems.
Communication:
• Acts as the primary network contact for Commonwealth employees and business partners outside of regular business hours.
• Perform Enterprise Incident communications using defined process and approved template.
• Monitors the network hotline during coverage hours.
• Issues network status updates using established procedures.
• Follows quality standards and displays strong customer service skills.
Routine Tasks:
• Assists the network engineers and technicians with outstanding tasks.
• Updates network operation and knowledgebase documentation.
• Participates in disaster recovery.
• Completes assigned tasks.
Required Skills:

Oncology Data Specialist

Cancer Registrar
Aptive Resources is seeking a highly qualified Cancer Registrar/Oncology Data Analyst to join our team. The selected candidate shall conduct records maintenance, including submission of complete case abstract and conduct timely case ascertainment and accession to Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Veterans Health Administration (VHA) approved software. The contractor will conduct data curation and abstraction into VHA approved cancer registry database software.
Schedule: Monday-Friday; open to both full-time and part-time availability as long as candidates can attend required meetings during standard business hours.
Compensation:
• Full-Time: $72,000-$78,000 annually (DOE), with full benefits.
• Part-Time: $32-$35/hour (DOE), not to exceed 30 hours per week.
Primary Responsibilities
The Contractor shall conduct records maintenance, including submission of complete case abstract and conduct timely case ascertainment and accession to VHA approved software.
The contractor will conduct data curation and abstraction into VHA approved cancer registry database software. Abstracting shall encompass the full and complete data set (required and VA specific non-North American Association of Central Cancer Registries (NAACCR) supplemental fields) to present a complete patient summary in the VHA approved cancer registry
database software. The new database software that is being implemented is KACI.
Text fields shall be utilized to document and substantiate all field values for patient information found in Physical Exam, Scans, Scopes, Labs, TNM and Stage Prognostic Factors, Diagnostic Procedures, Pathology, Treatment, and Surveillance
American Joint Committee on Cancer (AJCC) Tumor-Node-Metastasis (TNM) staging shall be performed on all cases meeting the criteria as established by Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results (SEER) and the AJCC, current edition of Staging of Cancer manual, in conjunction with accepted principles.
Meet reporting requirements of state central cancer registry, the American College of Surgeon's Commission on Cancer, and the VA Central Cancer Registry
Maintain patient and records confidentiality in accordance with the Privacy Act of 1974, complying with the terms of VA computer access security agreement, and other applicable government security regulations.
Candidates will complete all applicable “physician TNM staging” fields at the time of case ascertainment and/or case completion.
Provide a list of completed cases to the contact manager.
Provide last vital status, status of disease and substantiating text when reporting incidence and when full data set is completed. Only otherwise updated when patient found to be expired when reporting subsequent primary cancers.
Provide a list to the NOPO Oncology Data Lead noting any deficiencies or non-deficiencies using VA approved trackers at that time. Tracker will contain at minimum:
Facility Identification Number (FIN), Accession/Sequence, Primary Site, Class of Case, Histology/Behavior, Diagnosis Date, Tumor Size, Extent of Disease (EOD), SER Summary State (SSS), AJCC Stage, Treatment Modality Summary, Last follow-up (FU) Date, Personnel Name, and notes detailing errors and corrections made.
VISN/Facility Cancer Committee contact may provide a quality review of this data for validation.
Correct all inconsistencies found through any VACO or hospital quality assurance review within 30 days of notification of inconsistencies, errors, warnings, or any other data quality problems at no additional cost to the Government.
Comply with all guidelines governing the accepted standard of registry operations, to include the Commission on Cancer, AJCC, National Cancer Institute's Surveillance, Epidemiology and End Results Program (SEER), NAACCR, World Health Organization's
International Classification of Diseases for Oncology, and all other current and historic manual editions as applicable to diagnosis year.
Minimum Qualifications
3+ years relevant experience
Certified Tumor Registrars (CTR) certification through the National Cancer Registrar's Association (NCRA)
Maintain up-to-date continuing education courses as required for certification. Provide documentation verifying current certification annually.
Completion of all VA educational and mandatory course requirements and any other training as required by the VA by specific due date

Department Information
The Animal Health and Food Safety Services division (AHFSS) of the California Department of Food and Agriculture (CDFA) is responsible for the safety and security of meat, poultry, and dairy products, along with other foods of animal origins. AHFSS provides services to protect the public and animal health through prevention, detection, and eradication of livestock and poultry diseases and dairy contamination incidents, including support for the Animal Health and Food Safety laboratory network in California. In addition, the division protects cattle owners against loss of animals by theft, straying or misappropriation through ongoing inspections and investigative services. About this Role:
The Research Data Specialist I (RDS I) serves as a highly skilled Subject Matter Expert (SME) responsible for the Long-Term Care (LTC) provider rate setting process among other various LTC initiatives. The incumbent will independently plan, organize and conduct complex studies essential to the establishment and maintenance of the Medi-Cal reimbursement methodology for LTC providers. The incumbent will undertake systematic, critical, and intensive investigation directed toward the resolution of program-related issues. Is able to perform difficult and sensitive work related to outpatient provider rates setting.
The incumbent will be tasked with developing data models and payment models for identification and analysis of rates using Microsoft Access and Excel. Incumbents will need to develop and maintain new and existing databases using Microsoft Access, Excel, Statistical Analysis System (SAS) and/or other types of statistical software. The RDS I will utilize research methodology and techniques to respond to time-sensitive program inquiries in areas where precedents are lacking and/or a sparse body of knowledge or experience in the area exists. The incumbent will utilize deductive and inductive processes to explain major cost and utilization trends. The RDS I will prepare custom reports for submission to executive management and the Centers For Medicare & Medicaid Services. The incumbent will act in a lead capacity providing direction and technical support to analysts preparing deliverables for internal and external stakeholders.

Telework and Salary Information
This position is currently eligible for telework up to three days per week and is required to report in person a minimum of two days per week. About this Role:
The Enterprise Data and Information Management (EDIM), Program Data Reporting Division (PDRD) at the California DHCS is seeking multiple highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a Research Data Specialist III (RDS III) within the Managed Care Program Data Support Branch (MCPDSB).

About this Role:
The Capitated Rates Development Division (CRDD) is responsible for the development of managed care capitation rates for more than 10 million Medi-Cal beneficiaries in all of California's 58 counties. About this Role:
Under the general direction of the C.E.A. A , Chief of the Provider Rates Division (PRD), the Research Data Specialist (RDS) III provides technical consultation on the design and interpretation of research and evaluation studies, process improvement initiatives, and data integration, and designs and directs major, highly complex research projects or activities that may impact multiple divisions. The RDS III is required to have expertise of statistical software (e.g. SAS), and to exercise a high degree of initiative, act independently and develop creative solutions to problems. The incumbent independently plans, organizes, and conducts highly complicated studies, requiring in-depth knowledge, pertaining to the Medi-Cal LTC services rate development, and provides expert consultative services to senior and executive management on the feasibility, impact, or potential of proposed initiatives, policy changes, or programmatic changes. The purpose of the studies is to advise the Division's management of the LTC rate development and to positively influence future policies and strategies to meet statewide health policy goals.

About this Role:
The Enterprise Data and Information Management (EDIM), Program Data Reporting Division (PDRD) at the California DHCS is seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a Research Data Specialist I (RDS I) within the Eligibility and Benefits Data Support Branch (EBDSB).
Under the general direction of the Research Scientist Supervisor I in the Eligibility Analytics Unit of the Benefits and Eligibility Data Section, the Research Data Specialist I (RDS I) serves as lead researcher utilizing complex computer programs, databases, and statistical models used to analyze Medi-Cal eligibility, enrollment, SB1289 call-center, and general call-center data. The RDS I provides consultative advice or support interpreting existing reports and data models to various governmental metrics. The RDS I analyzes the utility of available data resources for application to ad hoc requests and Federal and State reporting requirements. The RDS I will have knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, vlookup formats, and formula writing. The RDS I will become proficient in using the following software: Statistical Analysis Software (SAS), Teradata SQL Assistant, Microsoft Access, Microsoft VBASAP Business Objects, Power BI, the Management Information System/Decision Support System (MIS/DSS), and the Medi-Cal Eligibility Data System (MEDS). The RDS I works independently as a lead and subject matter expert, but will also collaborate with other researchers.

The Department of Industrial Relations, Office of the Director - Research Unit, is responsible for determining the prevailing wage rates in compliance with the California Labor Code and related regulations. The prevailing rate of per diem wages includes employer payments for health and welfare, pension, vacation/holiday, travel time and subsistence, training, and other payments for similar purposes as determined by the Director of Industrial Relations. The prevailing wage is the minimum rate of pay for workers employed on public works projects.
Under the general direction of the Research Data Supervisor II, the Research Data Specialist I (RDS I) has the primary responsibility for implementing certain program elements. The RDS I leads and performs the more complex research and investigations including localities or trade classifications where no prevailing wage determinations exist. The RDS I validates, analyzes collected information and data, and prepares documentation for the issuance of general prevailing wage rates for incorporation into the Director's General Prevailing Wage Determinations and Special Prevailing Wage Determinations. About this Role:
The Enterprise Data and Information Management (EDIM), Program Data Reporting Division (PDRD) at the California DHCS is seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a Research Data Specialist II (RDS II) within the Community Programs Data Support Branch (CPDSB).
Under general direction of the Research Data Supervisor II, the RDS II will independently conduct more complex data analysis, data validation, data issue resolution and data support functions in the Specialty Services Data Section (SSDS) to support the Integrated Systems of Care Divisions (ISCD) waivers and programs. This will require ongoing data system and data analysis to support ISCD's programs and waivers in accordance with the DHCS' specifications and requirements.
The SSDS performs a broad range of data collection, analysis, research, and quality assurance activities, and is responsible for all state and federal reporting requirements across all programs and federal waivers to support the ISCD. These activities support and enhance efforts to ensure the provision of appropriate, necessary, and high quality medical services to eligible beneficiaries.
Training and Development (T&D) assignments may be considered for this position for current California civil service employees. T&D assignments cannot exceed 24 months. However, successful T&D candidates may transition to a permanent appointment, if eligible at the end of the T&D assignment.

Working Conditions
This position offers a hybrid work schedule as outlined in the telework information section below; the amount of telework is based on the operational business needs. The Research, Automation, and Data Division (RADD) is seeking a mission-driven, curious, team player to join us as Research Data Specialist III. The RDS III is the Principal Researcher for the Research and Data Insights Branch. This position will use advanced quantitative analytical methods to inform CDSS program decision-making and improve department processes.
This work involves building and implementing a portfolio of research projects that advance with CDSS program priorities. For each project, the RDS III will use the analytical tools that most improve service outcomes and understanding of the people CDSS serves. Will Consider Research Data Specialist I. Within the Caltrans District 4 Division of Environmental Science & Engineering (ESE) and under the direction of a Senior Environmental Scientist (Supervisory), the incumbent serves as ESE's GIS single focal point in support of project development and the delivery of transportation projects throughout the vibrant nine-county Bay Area. As an Afterschool Data Specialist your team will work directly with youth from diverse backgrounds in a school setting to provide a safe and healthy environment by:

Trains on the user system to ensure that the information is entered correctly.
