1. Conducts daily drive-by and walking inspections of residential, commercial, and industrial properties to identify building maintenance and other exterior code violations.
2. Assists Code Enforcement Inspectors with notifying property owners of code violations and establishing a compliance period for noncomplying issues.
3. Monitors and assists other village staff at the village's farmer's market held one day per week May through October.
4. Issues notices of violation and citations as directed by the supervisor.
5. Documents inspection results and violations through data entry.
6. Performs property research to gather background information for enforcement purposes.
7. Provides general code information to the public.

QUALIFICATIONS:

This is a DCS Program Specialist position for the Kinship Placement Staff in the Statewide Preventative Services division. This position is currently located in Bedford County.

Qualifications

Overview
This classification is primarily responsible for evaluating Children's Services program delivery and providing consultative support to ensure that field and central office operations meet policy standards and quality expectations. Overview
Under direct supervision, the Museum Program Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and managing specific programs or projects within the education & public programs department. Job Summary
We're seeking qualified applicants for part-time Childcare Assistants to join our Drop-In Childcare program located in our Recreations Centers. This is an ideal position for someone who enjoys working with toddlers, ages 1-11, can anticipate potential problems, and has the special skills necessary to solve them. The ability to anticipate issues and plan carefully are qualities we particularly value. We need proactive workers to meet the needs of our customers.
Under the direction of the Building Services Coordinator, primary tasks will include supervising children's recreation and helping plan, organize, and maintain equipment and supplies. Successful candidates will aim to surpass expectations, cultivate strong customer relationships through positive and efficient communication, and exhibit proficiency in utilizing cutting-edge technology and equipment. PRCS serves a diverse population including but not limited to youth, adults, individuals with disabilities, and seniors.
We are currently hiring for the following location(s):
* Ashburn Recreation & Community Center, Ashburn, VA
* Claude Moore Recreation & Community Center, Sterling, VA
* Dulles South Recreation & Community Center, South Riding, VA
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Clean and maintain an orderly room safe from hazards
* Provide facility and program information as needed
* Demonstrate good communication skills
* Provide excellent customer service
* May perform other essential job functions specific to the position and department assignment.
* Schedule needs may vary by location; program is available to the public 8:30am-1:30pm or 4:30pm-8:30pm Monday-Friday and 8:00am-12:00pm Saturday*
Minimum Qualifications
Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a high school diploma and six months of program experience with children. Virginia State Licensing requires six months of experience supervising children during recreational or educational activities.,
Job Contingencies and Special Requirements
Must undergo criminal and Child Protective Services (CPS) background checks. Certification in First Aid, and CPR for adults and infants within 30 days of hire. A negative TB test result is required before beginning work. Perform moderate physical activity including lifting.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Assists with implementing each individual's Service Plan, therapeutic physical/ psychological care, and increasing independent vocational and leisure skills.
Assists with carrying out restorative plans.
Maintains documentation of behavioral symptoms and other data collection requirements in accordance with Service Plan.
Assists and promotes independence with cares (including personal hygiene), ambulating in the home and accessing the community, preparation of meals, doing personal laundry and doing household tasks.
Functions as an integral member of the team providing appropriate interventions during medical, behavioral, and/or facility emergencies.
Provides personal hygiene including bathing (tub, shower, bed bath), oral care, skin and nail care and hand washing.
Completes resident grooming including hair care, shaving, dressing and weighing. Encourages residents toward independent personal care.
Assists with toileting including bowel and bladder retraining and perinea care.
Performs and assists with mobility, transferring, ambulation, positioning and range of motion per the Individual Service Plan.
Administers all medications and treatments as prescribed by physician and psychiatrist.
Requests medications from pharmacy; enters new medication orders; transcribes orders; faxes orders to pharmacy; pulls medication to return.
Verifies narcotic count at the beginning and end of every shift.
Documents accurately all cares given, including dietary intake and output, temperature, weight, blood pressure pulse and respiration, using approved abbreviations and descriptive terms.
Serves residents their meals; motivates and assists them with intake of nourishment and fluids.
Participates in the planning of resident care through shift reports and resident care staffing meetings when assigned.
Informs verbally and/or submits in writing any observations and changes in a resident for the licensed nurse or supervisor to evaluate, including dietary intake.
Answer all call signals and requests of residents immediately.
Encourages/assist residents in keeping their rooms clean and orderly; assists with making beds.
Maintains unit in a clean and orderly manner.
Keeps all resident's personal belongings and equipment clean.
Escorts residents to appointments as scheduled.
Participates in household activity programs planned for residents as needed
Performs a total inventory of all resident's possessions on admission, discharge, or transfer.
Ensures all resident's possessions are properly labeled.
Tracks and reconcile resident fund accounts at the beginning and end of the shift. Assists with deposits and withdrawals from resident accounts as needed for community involvement activities.
Responds to resident emergency including bleeding, falls, seizures, CPR and performance of Heimlich maneuver.
Assists with post-mortem care as assigned.
Transports dietary carts and linen carts.
Performs housekeeping and laundry responsibilities as needed.
Assists with the training and orientation of new Household Assistants.
Provides backup assistance to other department personnel as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED JOB COMPETENCIES
Knowledge of PPE and its proper use for personal safety measures.
Ability to maintain confidentiality of all resident care information and assure resident rights and privacy are protected at all times per HIPAA.
Knowledge of chemicals used in housekeeping and laundry services including hazardous laundry chemicals and isolation procedures.
Ability to create and maintain an atmosphere of warmth and personal interest as well as a clean environment.
Ability to work tactfully and cooperatively with residents, families, visitors, and entire staff throughout the organization.
Ability to verbally communicate with residents, families, the public, and other members of the organization.
Must be able to exhibit a warm, cheerful, caring manner.
Must be able to safely perform the essential job functions.
Ability to interpret and implement local policies and procedures; written instructions, general correspondence; Federal, State, and local regulations.
Skill in organizational and time management to prioritize duties to accomplish a high volume of work product while adapting to constant changes in priority.

Qualifications

* Must possess Wisconsin CBRF certification upon hire. * Must possess or obtain CPR/First Aid certification upon hire. * Must obtain Certified Nursing Assistant certification for the State of Wisconsin within 1 year of employment. * Must meet requirements of the Dodge County Driver Qualification Policy.
