Primary Responsibilities
Operations:
Operate heavy equipment (dozers, front end loaders, backhoes, excavators, grinders, compactors) efficiently and safely
Produce a consistent quality product with no customer complaints
Coordinate with R & M and transportation to insure necessary equipment, fuel, tools, and materials are available
Work directly with R & M to ensure all equipment is operating at a safe level
Perform manual labor when necessary
Regular, consistent and punctual attendance is required. May need to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and additional hours as necessary
Other duties may be assigned
Complete daily inspection of equipment at start and end of shift
Clean off machines inside and out daily (tracks, cab, lift arms, battery boxes, buckets)
Ensure equipment is fueled and serviced daily.
Perform preventative maintenance on equipment as required by R & M
Complete daily equipment inspection sheet
Complete daily labor/equipment log/form
Follow all safety guidelines
Qualifications & Requirements High school graduate or GED equivalent
Considerable knowledge of heavy equipment operation
Working knowledge of the hazards and safety precautions common to heavy equipment operations
Able to follow verbal and written instructions
Able to perform heavy manual tasks under varying weather conditions
Able to work very flexible schedule
Incumbent will be required to sit, stand, bend, kneel, and ambulate around the production site
Lift/carry up to 50 lbs. on a frequent basis
Exposure to loud noises, hot/cold temperatures, dust, and other environmental factors

- Performing routine operation of basic control systems and devices to monitor levels, temperatures, pressures and flow rates and transfer of products.
- Lift hoses, bolt flanges and operate valves and similar equipment including the proper clearing and isolation of equipment.
- Report any safety issues immediately to supervisor and if necessary, take appropriate action needed, including system shutdown, if unsafe work practice is witnessed to prevent injury or environmental release.
- Control, monitor and make necessary adjustments on control systems and manually operated equipment.
- Troubleshoot process, product quality, safety, and environmental problems and identify equipment requiring maintenance.
- Ensure safe and efficient performance of production and project work following standard operating procedures and work instructions.
- Act as a resource for other Operators and/or Maintenance Mechanics on job tasks and prioritization of work activities.
- Ensure quality control by performing testing on products and sampling when required.
- Take ownership for the accurate completion of all assigned tasks.
- Accountable for completing all in process reports and documents associated with job tasks responsibilities accurately and completely during shift operations.
- Operators must review with the next shift operator the status of all in-process operations. Information must be accurately and clearly communicated to ensure continued operation of the plant and to produce quality product in a safe and efficient manner.
- Operators are responsible to see that the security of the plant is maintained throughout their shift.
- Complete all duties as assigned with a high degree of dedication to safety and environmental stewardship.
Key Competencies:
REQUIRED
- High school diploma or GED.
- Good math and mechanical aptitude.
- Strong work ethic. Independently motivated to produce results.
- Must have strong multi-tasking, problem solving and time management skills.

As a chemical operator you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the production equipment inthe Cincinnati, OH plant. This includes operation of chemical processing equipment; including reactors, refining,and filtration systems. During your rotating shift as a Chemical Operator, you will
* Load and unload tanks and rail cars and receipt of truck deliveries, in addition to perform collection of samplesfrom tank cars and vessels.
* Conduct visual inspection of operating equipment to determine current operating status whilst demonstrateeffective operations of the DCS in daily work environment.

The Sanding and Robot Operator - 3rd Shift position sets up, operates and maintains multiple robotic sanding cells as trained and instructed to meet or exceed defined production targets.
