    The Transformer Coil Winder is responsible for fabricating parts using blueprints, drawings, specification sheets and verbal instructions, winding high quality transformer coils for use in transformer assemblies in the production of UPS's. Key Responsibilities: * Winds transformer coils by using engineering specifications * Stages completed product to assemble * Utilizes materials in an efficient manner with minimal waste * Reads and interprets work instructions, specification sheets, or prints and applies data to work types * Uses company tools with reasonable care * Operates tools and machinery such as: winding machine, sizing plates, torch, air tools, band saw, hand tools, belt sander, scale, shear and hoist * Follows all company policies including but not limited to, safety, attendance, breaks, etc. * All other duties as assigned * Must be able to work overtime when warranted Minimum Qualifications: * High School diploma or equivalent. Four years' experience working in a similar position with experience in basic electronics. Desired Qualifications: * Be safety conscious * Possess experience and knowledge in basic electronics * Ability to read and interpret schematics * Possess excellent mechanical ability * Ability to read and write English * Ability to speak effectively with other employees * Able to read and use measuring devices including but not limited to, rule in increments of tenths and hundredths of an inch, rule in increments of fractions of an inch * Micrometer in increments of thousandths of an inch * Calipers in increments of thousandths of an inch * Able to read work instructions and apply them to specific work types * Able to read supplied specification sheets and apply the data to specific work types Physical Requirements: Medium work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. This factor is important if it occurs to a considerable degree and requires full use of the lower extremities and back muscles. You will be able to drive two-way communications and clearly articulate our value proposition and engage the end-customer in jointly addressing their business priorities. In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be: Promoting the entire RIDGID/Greenlee product line to end-users in the Electrical, Mechanical, Utility, Plumbing, and Industrial segments at the local level. Working closely and developing relationships at all levels of the customer chain: Electricians, plumbers, line technicians, foreman, superintendents, safety directors, work methods managers, purchasing agents, warehouse managers, project managers and owners. Engaging with local union and non-union training centers to conduct training to apprenticeship and journeymen. Responds to requests quickly and understands the sense of urgency in construction. Communicating and demonstrating our value proposition of Faster-Safer-Easier that our tools bring to all members of the decision-making chain listed above. Developing and implementing plans to get RIDGID/Greenlee products specified-in and standardized at key end-user customers in all segments and within defined territories. Working closely with PTS Leads to support multiple territories and channels within the defined area and will follow up on pre-qualified leads that are generated from RIDGID/Greenlee Territory Managers, Regional Sales Managers, Product Managers, and Distributor Sales, along with customer requests. Working as part of a team and contributing to the success of the team by encouraging relationships with other RIDGID/Greenlee team members, end-user customers as well as distribution partners. Communicate leads to the sales team, along with conveying competitive threats and market trends.
