The Production Associate will work with small parts and perform a variety of simple to moderate operations to assemble product. Essential Elements * Perform short cycle, highly repetitive hand assembly operation of various styles and sizes of product parts which may be frames, preforms, bottoms, ground pins, lead frames, beads, pins, eyelets to carbon molds or to each other, following prescribed methods.
* Use a variety of hand tools including tweezers, magnets, mallets, vibrator, magazines, carbon molds, stands, glass beads, and tape machine. Use finger cots to prevent contamination of parts.
* Place molds in trays or on cardboard after completion of operation and tape.
* Orientation of heads may be by automation or hand prep for assembly to pins or eyelets.
* Work from flowsheet folder, blueprint specifications, process sheets, written and/or verbal instructions.
* Operate lead-cutting machine to trim lead frames to proper size as specified by customer.
* Use magnifier and related equipment and materials.
* Perform additional assembly work as directed.
* Move materials as necessary in performance of duties. May also be moved by others.
* Detect and report improper operation, faulty equipment, defective materials and unusual conditions to group leader or supervisor.
Secondary Elements
* Maintain established quality standards and follow quality procedures.
* Prepare and maintain records and reports as required.
* Ensure that work area and equipment are maintained in a clean, safe and orderly condition, that prescribed safety measures are followed, and that established company policies and procedures are adhered to.
* Perform other related duties as assigned or as required.
* Work overtime as needed or as required with appropriate notice and in accordance with company policy.

Responsibilities:
* Assemble electronic components, subassemblies, and systems.
* Test and calibrate electronic assemblies using test equipment and standardized procedures.
* Perform final inspection and prepare electronic products prior to shipment to customers worldwide.
* Test, debug, and repair returned products to meet customer needs.
* Work closely with Operations, Engineering, Sales, and R&D teams to ensure seamless production and customer satisfaction.
* Ensure that work area and equipment are maintained in a clean, safe, and orderly condition and established company policies and procedures are adhered to.
* Keep workstation, tools, and equipment in a neat and orderly manner.
* Understand and comply with all company safety rules and regulations.
* Perform other related duties as assigned or as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
* Associates Degree in Electrical Engineering, Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Technology, or equivalent military training / experience.
* 2+ years' electronic/manufacturing technician experience.
* 2+ years' experience with hand assembly / soldering and component replacement on surface mount and through-hole PCBs.
* 2+ years' experience troubleshooting and repairing electronic assemblies.
* Experience in diagnosing and repairing faults in analog and digital PCBAs using multimeters, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and other diagnostic tools.
* Experience reading and interpreting schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
* Experience with surface-mount and through-hole soldering and desoldering.
* Experience using software-based diagnostic tools and firmware flashing utilities.
* Due to the nature of UEI's programs and products, applicants must have the legal right to work in the U.S. and additionally must be legally authorized to access export-controlled information and source code.
Desired Qualifications:
* Ability to read and interpret electronic schematics.

**IN THIS ROLE, YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE:** Monitor inventory and perform cycle counting. Maintain inventory accuracy, processing of material reports, and transfers. Operate cutoff saw following routing steps. Perform material handling duties to include, receiving incoming materials, supplies, equipment and returned goods. Perform internal receiving and storing of machined parts, partial or subassemblies and purchased parts. Check and verify quantities comparing to packing lists, weights, type size, part numbers, etc., Identify materials to deliver or store in assigned locations.
Fill requisitions and orders promptly and accurately and deliver to proper locations.
Identify defective products and materials and report defective items to the supervisor. If a quantity discrepancy is discovered report to the supervisor for inventory adjustment. Unload trucks. Issue and deliver all materials for assembly, shipment, etc. on bills of material or requisition.
Prepare, check, and pack a variety of products and equipment for domestic or foreign shipment. Use specific packaging methods and review paperwork for accuracy. Make shipments in accordance with schedules and with applicable orders. Check order for inclusion of all items. Perform ERP system transactions immediately upon acceptance or completion of a specific task.
Operate all material handling equipment including power fork trucks. Following all department operating instructions and applicable quality manual instruction.
