The Quality Assurance Engineer at Emerson is part of a team responsible for establishing and maintaining the Quality Management System in accordance with the various Quality Assurance Manuals and all other applicable specifications
**IN THIS ROLE, YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE:**
+ Schedule, perform, and document internal and external audits.
+ Participate in customer and regulatory agency audits.
+ Support achievement of business performance goals through data acquisition and analysis, scrap and rework reduction, and continual process improvement.
+ Develop nondestructive examination procedures in accordance with applicable codes and specifications.
+ Review Certified Material Test Reports for chemical composition and mechanical property compliance to material standards.
+ Train internal personnel in QA program requirements.
+ Initiate and close corrective actions.
+ Approve disposition of nonconforming material through Material Rejection Notice process.
+ Prepare and deliver monthly performance reports relating to internal process quality and efficiency, supplier quality, and status of corrective actions.
+ Maintain quality records.
+ Review vendor purchase order requirements for compliance to quality and engineering specifications.
**FOR THIS ROLE, YOU WILL NEED:**
+ Bachelor's degree in Quality, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering; or 5-7 years of relevant work experience, or comparable combination of education and experience.
+ 2+ years of experience in Quality Engineering, Quality Assurance, or similar
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
+ Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain customer relationships.

We are seeking a strategic leader to drive sourcing excellence and supplier management for North American projects. In this role, you will define project-specific supplier panels, align with Supplier Quality Engineering, and shape sourcing strategies (make-or-buy, regionalization, localization). You will lead budgeting input for new projects, create volume opportunities through cross-unit alignment, and ensure site-level execution. **In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:**
Ensuring stakeholder involvement in Project planning and execution activities in close cooperation with Sales, Engineering, Quality, PMO, Buyer & Manufacturing, including:

+ Define and maintain project-specific supplier panel aligned with global/regional strategies.
+ Lead supplier selection, onboarding, and performance reviews in partnership with SQE.
Sourcing Strategy & Volume Optimization
+ Develop project-level sourcing strategies by Fleet approach (make vs. buy, BCC vs. localization).
+ Aggregate volumes with other world areas to negotiate better terms and optimize total cost of ownership.
Budgeting & Financial Planning
+ Contribute to project budgets with cost commitments and savings targets.
+ Monitor procurement spend, commitments, and variance to support cash flow planning.
Risk Management & Contracting
+ Identify procurement risks and implement mitigation plans (quality, DPO, cash flow, LDs, warranties).
+ Establish back-to-back T&Cs, frame agreements, manage long-lead items.
Commercial Excellence
+ Lead negotiations and TCO analyses to secure optimal value.

* The candidate must be able to work with minimal supervision around other welders in a production ISO environment. The manufacturing facility has all safety measures in place.
* The work can be physical and require the movement of metal up to 50 pounds, standing, reaching, and frequent bending.
