Global Safety MedicalDirector - Hematology/Oncology
What you will do
Let's do this. Let's change the world. In this vital role you will be accountable for the staff management and resource allocations in Global Patient Safety and support GPS in the establishment of a highly effective global safety organization in full compliance to worldwide regulations. The GSO is accountable for the overall safety profile and all product-related decisions and results for assigned products supporting Hematology-Oncology portfolio. The GSO leads the Safety Analysis Team (SAT), Global Safety Team (GST) and is a core member of the Executive Safety Committee (ESC). The GSO also is a member of the Evidence Generation Team and other relevant cross functional teams. The GSO will be assigned as delegate for the TAH as needed.
Validate safety signals and lead safety signal assessments
Develop and maintain Core Safety Information (core data sheet, core risks in informed consent forms, etc.)
Prepare/review core and regional risk management plans including additional risk minimization measures
Prepare/review safety sections of periodic aggregate reports
Provide safety input to protocols, statistical analysis plans, and clinical study reports
Prepare/review safety sections of new drug applications and other regulatory filings
Serve as safety expert on Evidence Generation Team for assigned products

Basic Qualifications:
MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school

Previous management and/or mentoring experience
Experience in the study/research and/or treatment of Oncology disease states

Qualifications
Board Certification in a medical specialty (Internal or Family Medicine preferred)
MD/DO with 10+ years of clinical experience
5+ years of experience in the area of program development in quality and safety and implementation science, preferred
Quality and Safety Assurance, Regulatory, Operations, and Project Management experience
Knowledge of CQI and PDSA type quality and safety improvement structure
Experience working with community-based providers and knowledge of reimbursement and regulations related to FQHCs and ambulatory care
Experience with the design and development of proactive risk prevention programs, experience within FTCA/FQHC requirements preferred
Experience in quality and safety improvement methodologies such as FMEA, Six Sigma or other similar BOK, preferred

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Program Development (20%):
Develop and execute a comprehensive regional strategy to grow market share and expand Occupational Medicine services.
Standardize clinical protocols, workflows, and best practices across all regional locations to ensure consistent, high-quality care.
Partner closely with the sales and business development teams to attract, onboard, and retain key corporate clients.
Analyze regional performance metrics (KPIs), financial reports, and market trends to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
Serve as the clinical subject matter expert during high-level sales presentations and contract negotiations.
Clinical Oversight & APP Supervision (5%):
Serve as the designated supervising or collaborating physician for Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), including Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants, across the region.
Maintain a full supervisory roster, overseeing up to the maximum number of APPs as permitted under your license by the Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners.
Fulfill all supervisory duties, including regular chart reviews.

Provide coverage in urgent care as needed, serving as a model of clinical excellence for the team.
Qualifications & Requirements
Required:
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
Board Certification in a relevant specialty (Occupational Medicine, Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Emergency Medicine).
A minimum of 5-7 years of clinical experience with a significant focus in Occupational Medicine.

The Medspan program provides patient education and care coordination around HIV, hepatitis C, and associated conditions such as hepatitis B and sexually transmitted infections (STIs). Medspan team members support patients through medication adherence support, discharge planning, and connection to care services. The MedicalDirector works across the Correctional Health Service Medicine service, with MedSpan staff and with other interdisciplinary Correctional Health Services (CHS) staff in all facilities to provide, improve, and evaluate patient centered infectious disease care.
Responsibilities include: (Detailed Task)
Clinical Responsibilities:
Identify individuals admitted to correctional facilities with infectious disease (ID) needs through the utilization of electronic health records, report management systems, and various tracking tools.
Provide direct patient care to individuals experiencing acute or chronic infectious disease conditions, including but not limited to HIV, hepatitis C and B, sexually transmitted infections, tuberculosis, skin and soft tissue infections, wounds, and systemic bacterial processes.
Deliver clinical consultation and guidance related to infectious diseases to site medicaldirectors (SMD), infection control teams, and clinical staff.
Administrative Responsibilities:
Offer direct administrative and clinical supervision for the infectious disease service, encompassing ID clinicians and the Medspan team.

Direct the formulation and execution of workflows and protocols pertinent to the infectious disease service.

POSITION SUMMARY
Under administrative and clinical supervision of the Regional MedicalDirector, the Site MedicalDirector is responsible for promoting and providing high-quality medical care. 1. Participate in Clinical Case/Disease Management initiatives.

Provide on-call emergency medical care 24/7 and deliver minor surgical procedures as needed
Review all labs, x-rays, and ancillary reports-ensuring timely and thorough documentation
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, intake and annual exams, and infirmary rounds
Ensure emergency care is rendered for any illness or injury on facility premises
Act as the clinical liaison with outside medical specialists and hospitals for patient referrals and discharges
Lead and participate in quality assurance programs and chart reviews in compliance with NCCHC, ACA, and AMA standards
Supervise site-level clinical staff, including PAs, NPs, and other healthcare professionals
Approve referrals, review outside provider care, and evaluate clinical documentation for compliance
Collaborate with facility leadership, security staff, and corporate medical teams on medical-related matters
Contribute to staff training, continuing education, and onboarding of new clinical hires

What You'll Need
MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
Current, unrestricted state medical license in state of practice
Board certification in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or related specialty preferred
Active applicable Controlled Substance Registration/License/Certification in state of practice.
Current DEA registration and CPR certification
Minimum of five (5) years of clinical experience, including prior leadership or supervisory roles
Correctional healthcare experience preferred

Clinical Imaging Director
What you will do
Let's do this. Let's change the world. In this vital role you will help coordinate and lead the application of different imaging strategies to support our portfolio of innovative obesity, inflammation, cardiovascular and rare disease drug candidates. You will be expected to work with cross functional teams to design, execute and analyze imaging studies.
Responsibilities:
Expand Amgen's end to end imaging process to all non-oncology TAs and integrate into wider clinical development procedures. Initial focus would be on obesity, inflammation and rare diseases.
Representing clinical imaging on process improvement initiatives
Standardize internal document templates and imaging vendor documentation (Charter, site manuals etc.) for common imaging readouts. Establish new procedures and documentations for novel or updated imaging procedures/criteria.
Serve as a SME while supporting strategic sourcing and vendor management teams in vendor capability/quality evaluations.
Develop training materials for imaging methods and endpoints to educate team members on expected/appropriate imaging strategies in clinical trials.
Work closely with precision medicine, statistics, clinical development, regulatory and clinical operation leads to formulate appropriate imaging biomarker strategies
Lead, design and implement multi-modality imaging measures as endpoints for clinical studies in a variety of TAs.
Contribute to clinical biomarkers and diagnostics strategy by evaluating novel imaging modalities, novel image analysis tools and artificial intelligence tools.

Basic Qualifications:
Doctorate degree PhD OR PharmD OR MD [and relevant post-doc where applicable] and 5 years of biomedical or imaging-related field experience

Preferred Qualifications:
An advanced degree (i.e., MSc or Ph.D.) with 7+ years of experience in clinical imaging research working within a pharmaceutical company.
Proven track record of successfully leading and managing clinical trials with a deep understanding the workflows which allow different teams (regulatory, operations, statistics etc.) to successfully collect and analyze imaging data.
Proven leadership experience in the utilization of molecular imaging as a quantitative biomarker in clinical trials
Experience with the utilization of clinical MR imaging in evaluation of clinical endpoints and investigation of suspected adverse events is preferred.
Experience is utilization of imaging in obesity and rare diseases is preferred.
