How you'll contribute The Therapist for the Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) is responsible for providing comprehensive psychotherapy and counseling services to individuals experiencing psychiatric and/or substance use disorders. This includes conducting individual, group, and family therapy sessions; participating actively in treatment planning, crisis intervention, and discharge or aftercare coordination. The Therapist collaborates closely with the interdisciplinary team-including physicians, nursing staff, and utilization review-to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care. This position requires accurate and timely documentation, adherence to confidentiality and regulatory standards (HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2), and a commitment to supporting patients' emotional and behavioral health recovery in a structured, therapeutic setting. Be available and provide individual counseling services of domestic violence after agency hours; be flexible to work after 5pm at least twice a week to accommodate client schedules. Be on on-call rotation and participate in an on-call coverage rotation to respond to emergency calls for medical advocacy within two hour of request for services. Provide overnight, weekend, and other on-call coverage on a rotational basis. Provide support for outreach activities, as needed; be flexible to participate in events occurring after 5pm. Provide walk-in client coverage during specified office hours. Provide court accompaniment to participants as necessary. Provide police accompaniment to participants as necessary. This is a part-time hybrid MOT Faculty position in the Master of Occupational Therapy Program, with teaching responsibilities assigned according to experience and practice knowledge. The faculty member will demonstrate the ability to creatively engage students in didactic and experiential learning opportunities and collaborate with faculty members to implement, modify, and regularly review the department curriculum. This position is a nine-month (Fall and Spring semesters), non-tenure-year position, reporting directly to the MOT Program Director. This position will carry a course teaching load of 12 (twelve) credits with an annual course release of 3 (three) credits for administrative duties related to the weekend experiential classes. The person in this position will demonstrate the ability to creatively engage students in didactic and experiential learning opportunities in this hybrid environment. Additional teaching opportunities are available over the summer semester as an adjunct faculty member.
