PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Safely operate a commercial vehicle Load and unload cargo Read locations and road maps Perform basic truck maintenance Inspect vehicles for mechanical and safety issues before and after each trip Meet delivery schedules while maintaining safe work practices Properly track and document driving logs on an ELD Report any issues or incidents to dispatch Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries Perform other duties as requested Full Time & Part Time positions available REQUIRED SKILLS: Previous experience in truck driving or other related fields Valid Commercial Driver's License A or B Ability to handle physical workload; physically qualified to perform all duties of a driver Ability to work in all types of weather and environments Strong work ethic Valid CDL, DOT Medical Certificate, and Motor Vehicle Record Touch freight experience preferred Must be at least 21 years of age Must pass a DOJ and criminal background check Ability to speak and read English sufficiently to: Converse with the public Understand traffic signs and signals Respond to official questions Make legible entries on reports and records EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE: CDL A or B (Required) Minimum of 2 years of commercial driving experience preferred Must pass a driver's road test or equivalent OTHER DUTIES: Please note this is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
