1970 Pacific Engineering makes its initial public stock offering.

1982 Pacific Engineering merges with American Pacific, which at that time was a real estate development and financial services company with interests in California, Florida and New York, United States

1986 American Pacific (AMPAC) is formally adopted as the name of the corporate parent company.

1989 AMPAC relocates its manufacturing operations from Nevada to a new state-of-the-art facility in Cedar City, Utah, and the perchlorates business begins to operate as Western Electrochemical Company (WECCO).

1992 The Halotron Division is established.

1998 AMPAC becomes the exclusive supplier of ammonium perchlorate (AP) for the United States aerospace and national defense programs through the acquisition of Kerr-McGee’s AP business.

2010 AMPAC Fine Chemicals (AFC) expands its California-based pharmaceutical chemicals business into La Porte, Texas.

Janine Warren joined AmPac in September 2013 after a banking career of more than 20 years.

2015 Company acquired by Huntsman Family Investments
