Position Summary
This position is located on an offshore oil platform in Federal waters off the coast of Southern California. The Roustabout is an essential member of the Drilling Team and is responsible for supporting all activities related to crane operations, equipment movement, and general labor on and off the platform.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Assist with crane operations, including maintenance, rigging, loading, and unloading materials, equipment, and supplies.
Move and stage equipment and materials for drilling and platform operations.
Maintain the drilling area, walkways, and work zones in a clean, orderly, and hazard-free condition.
Perform general labor duties including sweeping, washing, painting, and equipment cleanup.
Support equipment handling and preparation for transport.
Assist with the safe movement of personnel, materials, and tools on and off the platform.
Work collaboratively with the Drilling Team and other departments to ensure efficient operations.
Follow all company safety policies and procedures; participate in safety meetings and hazard analyses.
Comply with all Federal, State, and Local regulations related to offshore operations and safety.
Participate in cross-training to learn additional drilling support roles.
