What You'll Do (Essential Responsibilities)
As the Activities Coordinator, you will implement and oversee a well-rounded activity program for our Assisted Living residents, including:
Plan, develop, and lead daily activity programming that supports resident engagement and quality of life
Facilitate small groups, large group events, and one-on-one activities
Create and maintain a monthly activity calendar following facility guidelines
Document resident participation and complete assessments, care plans, and progress notes as needed
Coordinate and schedule entertainment, community partners, and outside resources
Organize supplies, equipment, and spaces before activities and ensure clean-up afterward
Assist with resident transportation to off-campus outings, field trips, and community events (as needed)
Recruit, support, and manage volunteers within the Activity Department
Collaborate with other departments (Nursing, Dining, etc.) to ensure events run smoothly
Evaluate program success and adjust programming based on resident needs and participation
Prepare communication materials such as flyers, newsletters, bulletin boards, and displays
