When the first can of AMSOIL 10W-40 appeared on the market in 1972, it signaled the birth of an entire industry.
The introduction of AMSOIL synthetic motor oil in 1972 set all-new standards for motor oil quality.
Since 1972, the company has seen rapid growth and constant change.
Eventually Mobil, the king of the oil industry, acquiesced and introduced its synthetic oil in 1974.
Since it's debut in 1976 nothing can come close to the value and performance of this innovative product.
His contributions to the synthetic-lubricant industry were validated in 1994 when he was inducted into the Lubricants World Hall of Fame, an honor that confirmed his status as a pioneer and thought-leader.
