    JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE Schedule, coordinate and supervise the middle foundry in order to meet production requirements and objectives on a shift. The Production Supervisor reports to the Production Manager. Reporting to the Production Supervisor are the team leaders, maintenance mechanics/electricians and an hourly staff consisting of various production jobs. The incumbent is responsible for the supervision and direction of middle foundry. They are also responsible for maintenance of equipment. Responsible for 10-18 headcount. PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES * Schedule, coordinate and supervise the middle foundry operations on a shift in order to meet production requirements and objectives. * Supervise and coordinate manpower requirements. * Schedule and direct the repair of equipment. * Select, train, and motivate a competent work force to assure an efficient, cost-effective operation. * Maintain safety and good housekeeping standards. * Participate in complaint resolution of grievances at the first step to promote good working relationships with employees and fair and equitable solutions for the Company. * Perform other duties as required. JOB KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE * 3-5 years of experience supervising in a manufacturing environment. * Experience with Non Destructive Testing, tooling, Quality Control (including SPC), Safety, maintenance, capital project management. * Excellent communication, leadership and organizational skills. KEY CHALLENGES Major interactions include: Office personnel in customer shipping specifications, shipping schedule, recordkeeping and inventory; Quality Manager interface to ensure adherence to AAR and Griffin quality standards and/or specification; Operations Manager, Human Resources Manager, and Safety Manager regarding disciplines, attendance, grievances; Equipment Manager on TPM matters; Material Manager and storeroom personnel in ordering needed supplies; Human Resources Manager regarding discipline, grievances, safety, etc.; vendors regarding the usage of their products; AAR inspectors and customers reviewing the plant operations; Manager, Quality Assurance/Supervisor, Non-Destructive Testing System for guidance in problem area. Report all damaged or malfunctioning equipment and unusual situations to the Production Manager. Perform color and material changes in a safe, clean, and timely manner. Program color blender by entering shot weight and concentrate let down ratio to provide correct color for molded part. Execute scheduled color changes to ensure product color is correct and uniform and done with minimum production overruns or waste. Clean metal separators and magnets and remove any contaminated material to the designated area. Supervisory Aspects Provides guidance and coaching to employees on company culture, policies and procedure and compliance with plant safety and quality policies. Ensures all production employees are following safety, quality and environmental standards. Train Cell Technicians to perform material, color, and hot stamp changes in support of the daily duties in production. Perform level III QA audits and monitor and maintain quality objectives Utilize IQMS to document rejects, downtime, and shift end production report. Print work orders and perform 1st article inspections. Work with production and support department managers/leaders to maximize objectives. Qualifications: Minimum of two (2) years of experience in an injection molding environment working directly with equipment Minimum of one (1) year of supervisory experience leading production employees Demonstrated supervisory skills Must be a self- starter with high initiative and able to work independently Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment with shifting demands Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office and manufacturing systems (IQMS preferred) Good written and verbal communication skills Comprehensive Benefits & Perks: Financial Wellness: 401(k) retirement plan with company match and annual/quarterly bonus opportunities. These positions actively support the operations of the facility. The goal of the position is to keep all mechanical and electrical systems in the assigned areas maintained and repaired.
