Amtelco company history timeline

1951

Bill Curtin, the founder of Amtelco, received his first telecommunications patent in 1951.

1976

Telescan was founded in 1976 by TAS business owners, George and Judy Meyer.

1984

As the group of owners had grown to 50 strong and at their next meeting in 1984 it was decided to formalize the group and appoint a board of directors.

1990

In 1990, Telescan introduced the Spectrum system and embraced the digital age.

1993

In 1993, AMTELCO introduced its new Infinity system, which integrated paperless messaging and voice processing with a significantly larger account capacity.

2003

In 2003, the Intelligent Series (IS) module was added to the Infinity platform offering script-based message services – a major development in the industry.

2012

In 2012, Telescan merged with Amtelco.

2020

Amtelco was awarded a Top Workplaces 2020 honor by Wisconsin State Journal Top Workplaces.

2021

Amtelco has been awarded a Top Workplaces 2021 honor by Wisconsin State Journal Top Workplaces.
