For a 10-hour shift, this could be 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with a half-hour break included. Back Half Day Shift: Schedule: 4 days on, 3 days off. Often, this shift could be Wednesday to Saturday to complement the Front Half Day Shift. Hours: Like the Front Half Day shift, this shift would also occur during daytime hours. Depending on your downtime windows, a typical schedule might be from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with a half-hour break. Front Half Night Shift: Schedule: 4 days on, 3 days off. The days can be arranged as per your needs, such as Sunday to Wednesday. Hours: This shift would occur during the night. For example, it could run from 6:00 PM to 4:30 AM, with a half-hour break. Back Half Night Shift: Schedule: 4 days on, 3 days off. To complement the Front Half Night Shift, this might run from Wednesday to Saturday. Position Overview The Wireless Systems Engineer will play a key role in designing, integrating, and modernizing wireless communications systems, including point-to-point, mesh, and mobile networks. This position requires a strong understanding of wireless communication technologies and IP networking, along with the ability to gather customer requirements, develop tailored solutions, and support implementation. Duties and Responsibilities Design, integration and modernization of wireless communications systems (point to point, mesh and mobile) Understand wireless communications technologies and concepts Gather customer requirements, determine requirements, develop solutions; provide preliminary designs, cost estimates; support procurement and implementation of wireless communications systems Compare wireless communications systems specifications to requirements Experience planning transport and routing of IP data through gateways, switches and routers, document in network diagram Deploy and support wireless communications systems in the field, ability to troubleshoot and resolve connectivity issues. Requirements Education BS in Electrical / Computer Engineering or other BS degrees relevant to job responsibilities Must have DHS Tier 2 Background Investigation (BI) or DOD Secret with current investigation required to convert to DHS Tier 2 BI Minimum 8 years of relevant experience Experience compiling technical recommendations, white papers, analysis reports, or executive briefings.
