SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
Performs general police duties, processes and operations for the protection of life and property and enforces federal, state and local laws, prevents crime and preserves peace in a railroad surface transportation environment.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
Annual: Entry rate (requires police academy) - $67,721, 1 full year of prior service at probationary rate - $75,245, 5 year lateral (First year at 95%) and with less than 1 year of break in service from previous Department - $88,436, Top step (100%) - $111,165.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
* Responsible for the safety and protection of all persons, including passengers, employees and property.
* Performs patrol duties on foot and in a police vehicle for prolonged periods of time.
* Performs security and safety activities at incidents, including, but not limited to, derailments, floods, fires, hazardous material incidents, special trains, and company functions involving railroad property and responsibility.
* Responds to call for service and assistance, identifies hazards and takes proactive steps to resolve problems.
* Arrests and detains offenders, conducts thorough preliminary and follow-up investigations to solve crimes and reduce criminal opportunities, conducts searches and seizures and serves warrants.
* Effectively deals with individuals under various circumstances to resolve disputes and neutralize hostilities, mediates disputes; assists individuals who are sick and need assistance, administers first aid when necessary.
* Maintains proficiency and safely operates police equipment, including vehicles, computers and weapons, including a firearm.
* Communicates verbally in person and by radio; presents testimony and evidence in administrative, civil and criminal proceedings; maintains open line of communications with law enforcement and criminal justice agencies, internal and external partners, as necessary or when directed.
* Records information and prepares a variety of detailed reports with clearly organized thoughts and conclusions.
* Reads, interprets and applies federal, state and local laws and regulations, railroad and department policies and procedures.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
* Must be a United States citizen or meet the immigration requirements in the state where they will hold a railroad police officer commission.
* High School Diploma or GED.
* Must be 21 years of age.
* Must possess a valid driver's license at time of appointment.
* Must be able to pass all components of the police application process, including: a written examination, a physical agility test, an interview, a psychological examination and an in-depth background investigation and a job-related physical examination.
* Ability to obtain a railroad police commission from the state of Maryland.

Job Summary
Interface with the Package B (Southern Approach) Contractor(s) and other internal and external stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of the Package B construction package consistent with the company's Capital Delivery goals of safe, on-time and on budget project delivery. Support the Contracting Official's Technical Representative (COTR) for the Package B Contract(s) to monitor the performance of the contractor(s) and support the contracting processes. This position will be responsible for management and coordination of Amtrak resources involved with the protection of contractors and construction of railroad infrastructure across all major disciplines (Structures, Track, Communication & Signals, and Electric Traction), including the related coordination with work planning and transportation to support and maintain railroad operations. This position will also act as a liaison with IMCS. This position will be responsible to help provide oversight of the Contractors and coordination with internal (force account) and external stakeholders to ensure that design and construction elements of the contract scope meet the needs of the overall program goals.
Essential Functions
* Assist with oversight of the Package B Contractor and coordination with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that design and construction elements of the contract scope meet the needs of the overall program goals:
* Manage and monitor contract project cost and schedules, and report progress. Maintain, adjust and update project plans, as needed, to communicate and advise project management as to all issues and risks affecting the project.
* Facilitate the development and implementation project plans, schedules and budgets consistent with operational and stakeholders needs.
* Work with senior leaders to contribute relevant data to support annual planning activities and provide support to progress and financial reporting, budgeting, estimating, scheduling and change control.

SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
Amtrak seeks a seasoned attorney with a balanced background in infrastructure, engineering projects and real estate/development. The salary/hourly range is $103,700 - $134,460 for the Lead Value Management Specialist and $124,600 - $161,352 for the Value Management Specialist. Job Summary
The Sr Director of Network Engineering and Delivery is responsible for providing leadership in producing detailed network engineering designs and overseeing their implementations to ensure technology investments are in alignment with corporate goals and enabling the future of an evolving business environment. Network Engineering and Delivery partners with multiple Architecture teams to produce detailed engineering designs which are implemented by the Network Delivery team. Organizationally, the architecture and operations teams report to different leaders. Therefore, relationship management and operating within a matrix management organization is a key skill. As an IT leader, this role will utilize education, influence, and governance processes to maximize return on technology investment, and to reduce time to capability, while minimizing operational costs. As part of the IT leadership team this role will be responsible for evangelizing strategic enterprise change, executing strategy, providing technical leadership, and developing teams to move ideals forward.
Essential Functions
* Responsible for managing a team of Directors, Managers, Technical Leaders among others and inspiring them and their teams to deliver at the highest level.
* Support executive leadership by providing strategic advice on network centric solutions, implementing modern practices, and ensuring alignment with the organization's mission, strategy, and objectives.
* Manage organizational culture change and build high performance technology teams.
* Play a pivotal role in expanding the company's use of network capabilities as a strategic enabler, realizing business benefits, and fostering service innovation while ensuring secure, compliant, and highly available network services across the Amtrak ecosystem.
* Participate in the governance board that defines the IT mission, oversees operations, and determines IT investments, and pricing and product strategies.
Minimum Qualifications
* Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education, training and/or relevant experience.
* 13 years of relevant work experience.
* Must have experience as a senior level engineer providing vision and selecting platforms to move organizations forward, building scalable solutions which enable future business initiatives.
