Job Summary
Responsible for inspection, testing and maintenance of wheels sets, brakes, brake pads, repairing suspension and pneumatic systems on rolling stock equipment and components in accordance with FRA and Amtrak standards and guidelines.
Essential Functions
Performs inspection, testing and maintenance in accordance with 49CFR regulations and Amtrak standards and guidelines
Troubleshoots equipment to determine corrective actions and causes of equipment failures
Repairs doors, windows, interior equipment, access panels, hand brakes, brake shoes, outside car body components, fire extinguishers, emergency tools and first aid kits
Uses a variety of test equipment to diagnose malfunctions, troubleshoot and repair components and circuits
Maintains proper care and use of materials, test equipment, machines and hand tools normally associated with assigned job
May perform welding and burning
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or GED
Experience in troubleshooting, repair, replacement and rebuilding of mechanic equipment and systems
Must successfully complete training and attain/retain certifications applicable to assigned job
Knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems
Ability to read mechanical drawings
Knowledge and skill in the use of electronic tools, equipment and the measurements necessary to meet established standards
Some computer skills
Must be able to lift items weighing up to 50lbs

Job Summary
Perform duties in an environment requiring physical agility to easily get off/on train equipment, manipulate self between cars, bend, reach, stoop, easily and safely ride the side of trains, and lift a variety of equipment in all types of weather. Essential Functions
Works a variety of hours within a 24/7 transportation environment.
Assists the Conductor in the safe movement of trains by adhering to applicable operating rules/practices.
Assists the Conductor in the oversight of all on-train employees in service delivery by adhering to the Corporation's service standards.
Ensures all revenue documents (cash, credit card receipts, proof of payment) are collected/verified in accordance with designated tariffs.
Ensures safety of passengers and crew by adhering to safety rules.

Provides information about train service to include passenger connections.

What You Need to Succeed:

Proven experience working with 480V three-phase systems and various control voltages.
Proficiency with electrical test equipment (e.g., multimeters, ammeters, megohmmeters).
Expert knowledge of electrical schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams.
Strong aptitude for troubleshooting and programming PLCs and Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs).
Massachusetts Electrical license or the equivalent certification
Willingness to work on both mechanical and electrical projects.
Excellent safety awareness and commitment to safe work practices.
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and handle emergency repairs under pressure.

Key Responsibilities:
Material Planning & MRP Execution
Execute and monitor MRP runs in Microsoft Business Central, ensuring accurate material availability and production planning.
Analyze MRP outputs to identify shortages, expedite needs, and recommend planning parameter adjustments.
Maintain accurate BOMs, routings, and item data to ensure effective material planning.
Work cross-functionally with Procurement, Engineering, and Production to resolve material and scheduling conflicts.
Track and report on key metrics such as material shortages, schedule adherence, and inventory accuracy.
Production Planning
Assist in developing and maintaining production schedules that align materials and capacity.
Support manufacturing leads in load balancing and prioritizing work orders.
Improve data accuracy for work order reporting and WIP tracking.
Help identify and address bottlenecks or inefficiencies in the scheduling process.
PLM Implementation & Systems Integration
Serve as the primary coordinator for the new PLM system implementation, replacing Omnify.
Work with Engineering and IT to define workflows for change management, revision control, and document release.
Support data migration of part records, BOMs, and associated documents.
Ensure synchronization between PLM and Microsoft Business Central to maintain consistency across systems.
Train and support users on new PLM tools and processes after deployment.
Continuous Improvement
Identify and implement process improvements for MRP accuracy, data integrity, and planning efficiency.
Support initiatives to improve communication between Engineering and Operations through better system integration.
Document and maintain standard operating procedures related to planning and change control.
Qualifications and Essential Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Operations, or related field (or equivalent experience).
3+ years of experience in materials planning, MRP execution, or production control in a manufacturing environment.
Hands-on experience with ERP systems (Microsoft Business Central preferred).
Familiarity with PLM tools (Omnify or similar) and basic understanding of change management processes.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and organizational abilities; comfortable working across departments.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in electro-mechanical product manufacturing.
