Job Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions): Safety Analysis & Requirements Engineering Generate and manage safety requirements, at appropriate levels, to ensure design integrity. Create validation and verification (V&V) plans specifically for safety requirements. Assess compliance of systems, components, and installations against safety requirements. Conduct comprehensive safety analyses in accordance with SAE ARP4761A, including: Aircraft and System Functional Hazard Assessments (AFHA/SFHA). Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA/FMECA) and Summary (FMES). Preliminary System Safety Assessments (PSSA) and System Safety Assessments (SSA), including Fault Tree Analyses (FTA) at the unit, system, and aircraft levels. Understand the interdependencies between safety artifacts and other engineering activities (e.g., requirements, design, and testing) within the product development lifecycle. Communicate the system needs to internal and external consumers of the design Knowledge of the system engineering development process, including requirements development and management per SAE ARP4754B. Experience working in safety-specific tools such as CAFTA or RELEX, as well as Microsoft Office (Intermediate Excel required). Certification & Compliance Build safety artifacts required to show compliance for certification of civil aircraft under 14 CFR Parts 23, 25, 27, and/or 29. Review and support development and execute Certification Plans. Coordinate with certification authorities to seek clarification on requirements. Review certification guidance material (e.g., Advisory Circulars) and incorporate necessary guidance into safety strategies. Participate in Systems Design Reviews to ensure safety is integrated from conceptual design through final integration. Analyze mechanical or system failures to determine root cause and develop corrective actions based on safety principles. Customer Interaction & Supplier Technical Oversight Coordinate with customers and suppliers to review technical data, safety processes, and design compliance. Communicate system safety needs and constraints to both internal and external design consumers. Compare design solutions specifically through the lens of safety and risk mitigation. Complete special projects and tasks assigned by Group Lead Qualifications Level Requirements (Minimum): Education Four (4) year degree in Engineering (Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, Systems). About the Team AeroTECs Engineering Services Department supports and provides comprehensive, full-service aerospace engineering services to customers in aircraft design and certification. The Engineering Services Department is responsible for providing engineering consulting services related to aircraft performance, similarity analysis, reviewing and supporting certification activities, determining test requirements, and planning and documenting testing to meet customer needs. About the Role The Aerospace Engineer, EWIS (Electrical Wiring Interconnect System) position is responsible for designing, analyzing, and maintaining the electrical configuration of aircraft systems. These EWIS aspects are for various systems and components on an airplane and rotorcraft. This role requires the significant exercise of independent discretion and judgment in matters of significance. In This Role You Will: Review and understand customer specifications, technical documentation, and electrical configurations. Analyze design requirements and perform trade-off studies. Produce and validate electrical documentation, such as wiring diagrams and harness data reports. Create and maintain tracking tools for quality and productivity. Review and analyze the electrical configuration of aircraft systems, read and understand the technical documentation such as schematics. TITLE Network Engineer II The Network Engineer II is responsible for supporting the design, implementation, and maintenance of the organization's network infrastructure. This role requires solid hands-on experience with routing, switching, firewalls, and wireless technologies, along with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues. The Network Engineer II works independently on routine assignments and collaborates on larger projects with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to ensure the stability, security, and performance of network systems. A strong focus on operational excellence, documentation, and continuous improvement is essential for success in this position. ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS Reports to : Manager, Network & Unified Communication Supervises: No supervisory responsibilities ESSENTIAL DUTIES - May include, but not limited to the following: Network Support (80%) • Installs and supports LAN, WAN, and wireless network solutions, including servers, firewalls, routers, WAPs, switches, UPSs, and other hardware. • Supports, monitors, and resolves issues with network infrastructure to ensure smooth and reliable network operation to enable functional areas to achieve their strategic and operational objectives. • Performs network hardware and software upgrades. • Assists in managing network asset inventory, related documentation, and technical specifications information. • Implements and maintains policies, procedures, and associated training plans for network administration, usage, and disaster recovery. • Maintains documentation as it relates to network configuration, network mapping, processes, and service records. • Provides high quality and timely network support, including responding to incident/ problem tickets and troubleshooting errors and issues with network infrastructure.
