BASIC FUNCTION:
The Respite worker will provide intermittent, regular scheduled, temporary care, and or supervision for a mutual client of Inland Regional Center and United Cerebral Palsy who resides with a family member or care provider.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.

Work a minimum of two hours at each respite appointment.

Report any changes in personal information to the respite program manager immediately.
Complete and submit time cards, mileage, reports, etc., using UCPIE timekeeping and case management software.
Complete client daily notes and submit to UCPIE administrative offices as instructed by the respite program manager.
Maintain current information on emergency call forms and submit copy to UCPIE office.
Return phone calls to the UCPIE administrative team within 24 hours or immediately if an emergency message is received.
Do not transport client(s) or siblings at any time.
Continue education through training modules, workshops, annual UCPIE in-house training, etc.

As a Sheet Metal Worker, you will perform internal and external sheet metal repairs and modifications to all aircraft serviced at the facility. Research and develop repair schemes using blueprints, engineering orders, service bulletins, and other technical publications. Fabricate various sheet metal parts in their entirety by interpreting blueprints, calculating angles, diameters, and bend allowances, and then cutting shaping, and forming the part.
What you'll do:
Performs structural aircraft repairs using appropriate sheet metal techniques and fasteners. Builds up surfaces and structures to specifications. Installs Service Bulletin kits using parts and instructions provided by O.E.M.
Plans and develops schemes for sheet metal repairs and/or modifications by utilizing blueprints, sketches, service bulletins, OEM or government specifications, engineering orders or other technical publications.
Uses precision measuring instruments to accomplish sheet metal repairs or modifications, (i.e. micrometers, calipers, surface plates, protractors, combination squares, etc.)
Sets up and uses sheet metal equipment such as power brakes, presses, saws, rollers, etc.
Constructs dollies, jigs, and special tools as required.
Documents all work accomplished (a.k.a “sign-off”) in a clear, concise and accurate manner.
Accomplishes Service Bulletins, Repair Letters, and Airworthiness Directives as required.
Reads and interprets maintenance manuals, blueprints, technical manuals, and schematic diagrams when required.
Responsible for knowing, understanding, following, promoting, and continuously improving company policies and procedures
Observes all safety, environmental, and general housekeeping rules and policies.
May perform other duties as required by the department.
Position Requirements
High School diploma or equivalent.
3+ years aircraft sheet metal experience.
Familiar with avionics and antenna installs.
Proven mechanical and technical aptitude.
Proven experience using a variety of hand and power tools, including precision measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, protractors, etc.).

At the beginning of each shift, workers check in and hand ILA button to the Clerk in Charge.
Discusses the next day's workload with the company department manager to place the labor order for drivers.
Informs the Mule Walking Foreman of number of drivers needed.
Dispatches Mule Drivers according to work flow.
Manages logistics for all per diem cargo orders to expedite load or delivery.
Assesses export cut offs for cargo to meet ship out deadlines.
Manages all warehouse clerks to monitor production.
Communicates via 2-way radio with drivers, clerks, warehouse personnel, security guards and warehouse manager to coordinate logistics of warehouse.
Inspects all containers to verify that they are in good condition for turn in. Reports damages to maintenance department.
Receives and enters production documentation from clerks.
Vessel Labor Plan:
Chief Clerk in Charge works in clerk's office, outside on terminal, and/ or aboard vessel.
Receives a telephone call from the terminal with instruction on the amount of clerks needed for each operation.
For each operation, the Chief Clerk in Charge will order the required amount of clerks for each gang.
Terminal Labor Plan:
Receives phone call from Terminal Office Manager with instruction regarding the labor roster for the terminal for the day.

Obtains Export List from Express System.
Obtains checklist from the steamship line.
Balances imports and exports on vessel.

Separates paperwork for each gang.
Assigns trucks to the empty yard clerks.
Approve timesheets for payroll.
Assists in troubleshooting the location of containers on vessel or in yard.
Provides hands on training to clerks.
Attends safety meeting monthly.
Continuously monitors safety guidelines and ensures that every employee wears the specified safety gear.
Addresses personnel issues and serves as manager to all clerks.

Completes accurately and timely preventative maintenance and maintenance task report/requests.
Basic knowledge of the following trades: carpentry, plumbing, painting, groundskeeping, standard practices and tools used in the maintenance and repair of building facilities; safety practices and procedures related to the building trades.
Effectively use a variety of hand and power tools; operate a forklift; follow oral and/or written instructions; communicate effectively in both oral and written form; maintain work documentation.
Able to read, understand and work from work orders, material lists, specs, inspection standards, inventory documentation, part numbering system.
Experience and Qualifications
Must have a high school diploma/G.E.D. Must have a valid driver's license.

What you will be doing... Your IMPACT
Assist in the cleaning of cargo hoppers and the exterior surfaces of barges to prepare them for cargo loading. This includes removing debris, dirt, and other materials using brooms, shovels, and high-pressure water equipment, operating front-end loaders, tractors and forklifts.
Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues. Wear personal protective equipment as required.
Work efficiently and effectively to complete cleaning tasks in a timely manner, ensuring that barges are ready for cargo loading as scheduled.
Maintain records of cleaning activities and report any incidents, accidents, or issues to your supervisor.
Collaborate with other team members and supervisors to ensure that cleaning operations run smoothly and meet quality standards.
Pump water from void compartments and hoppers of company owner and operated equipment.
Assists with shingling of barges and other types of temporary repairs to ensure watertight integrity of floating equipment.
Assists with construction / repair of special projects.
Assists in performing preventative and routine maintenance on equipment and machinery.
Assists in performing safety audits / inspections of work area.
Conducts confined space atmospheric tests.
What we are looking for...
You will need to have:
Must live 50 miles or less from our Cairo fleet location.
