Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Oversight
Maintain proactive oversight of claims to ensure that appropriate strategies are in place and reserves accurately reflect the most probable outcome of the claim.
Provide technical coaching in the analysis, negotiation, and strategic resolution of claims.
Mentor and develop team members to further their skills and knowledge.
Organize team workload, assign projects, and manage resources and results.
Positively influence the team by coaching and guiding staff through changes in the organization and industry.
Perform all management-related functions, including performance management, career development and training.
Quality Assurance & Compliance
Establish and maintain quality controls to ensure work meets or exceeds standards.
Conduct regular audits of claim files to ensure compliance with claim handling practices.
Document findings, communicate feedback to team members, and provide additional training as needed.
Operational Excellence
Approve reserves and payments within designated authority limits and submit recommendations for those exceeding Manager authority.
Ensure claim handling aligns with policies, procedures, and departmental guidelines.
Maintain accurate claim records and documentation.
Special Projects & Continuous Improvement
Assist leadership with special projects requiring advanced claims expertise.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency within workflows.
Qualifications
In-depth knowledge of insurance laws, coverage principles, and industry practices.
Strong contractual analysis skills to include the analysis of insurance contracts for coverage determinations and other contracts for risk transfer obligations/opportunities.
Skillful negotiator.
Strong analytical, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills to meet challenges with a high degree of ownership and delivery.
Ability to manage a diverse group of claims professionals located in multiple offices.

Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (10+ years handling commercial general liability claims).
Minimum of five (5) years of Commercial General Liability claims experience.
Valid adjuster's license in multiple jurisdictions or ability to obtain as required.
The expected salary range for this role is $100K-$130K/year.

Responsibilities
Independently represents the Employer/Carrier before the assigned Judge of Compensation Claims and present witnesses and evidence at administrative hearings on litigated workers' compensation claims.
Analyzes complex legal and factual issues, conduct extensive, well-reasoned legal research, independently develop and present defense strategies on behalf of the Employer/Carrier.
Prepares pleadings, written discovery, motions and briefs in support of defense strategies.
Provides effective and timely communications, information, legal advice and other services to clients and claims professionals on legal and factual issues.
Position requires the use of independent judgment, research, litigation and analytical skills.
Assists in developing training materials for the WC claim department.
Works with the WC claim department and Law Department on special projects related to the practice of workers' compensation.
Communicates with the Office of the Judges of Compensation Claims, witnesses, opposing counsel and clients in a manner consistent with established office procedures.
Responsible for the prompt, efficient and effective disposition of assigned cases.
Keeps current with market trends and demands. Attend continuing legal education seminars in order to maintain high level of professional expertise.
Performs other functionally related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
State licensed attorney in California
Knowledge of Workers' Compensation statutes and its application.
1+ years of workers' compensation litigation experience
The expected salary range for this role is $110K to $175K, based on skill, experience and job level.

Key responsibilities of the role include:
Assess technical and product fit between each legacy book and the OneAuto/rating platform capabilities.
Develop a recommended migration strategy for each book including rationale, estimated effort, risk, and business impact.
Create clear decision artifacts and migration playbooks (impact analysis, acceptance criteria, mapping specifications, remediation tasks).
Work with Product, Modeling, IT, Data, Legal/Compliance, and Delivery teams to evaluate feasibility and implement migration plans.
Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders and drive consensus across business and technical partners.
Track migration status, risks, dependencies, and escalate issues as appropriate.
Support Frontier and OneAuto program priorities and timelines; adapt to changing scope and priorities.
Required Qualifications
Strong Auto insurance product knowledge (personal lines auto preferred); familiarity with policy forms, coverages,endorsements and rating concepts.
3+ years of relevant experience (product, rating, migration, business analysis, or similar) Comfortable working with technical teams; some hands-on technical aptitude required (data mapping, reading rating rules, ability to review configuration or rule code). Strong analytical skills and demonstrated ability to synthesize complex information into clear recommendations. Advanced Excel skills; experience with data analysis and reporting tools.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to create concise decision documents and present to senior stakeholders.

Claims partnership and feedback loop

Innovation and product development support
Help draft prototype wordings for new propositions
Check alignment between underlying policy wordings and reinsurance treaty/facultative clauses.

Build dashboards and trackers for adoption of standard forms, deviation rates, SLA performance, disputes, and audit findings; provide monthly reporting to stakeholders.
Qualifications

Delivery of high quality multi-line risk evaluations and loss analysis of exposures and controls related to Workers' Compensation, Property, Inland Marine, Umbrella, Builders' Risk, Products/Completed Operations, Commercial Auto, Garage Liability/Dealer's Blanket and General Liability.
Have a team-based approach working with other internal associates and departments, as well as our agency partners, to provide effective risk improvement consultations to Commercial policyholders that positively influence loss ratios, relationships, profitable new business growth and account retention.
Deliver collaborative, consultative-based Loss Control services that provide value and solutions to policyholders while working with them to move service issues forward and improve the account's loss exposures and performance and overall cost of risk.
Conduct on-site visits of existing and prospective policyholders and complete comprehensive survey reports to evaluate operations, exposures and controls and provide an overall assessment for adequate risk selection, pricing and application of techniques for profitable Underwriting results.
Complete value-based correspondence to summarize visit activities that includes solutions-based discussion and development of meaningful recommendations to minimize policyholder exposure to loss.
Act as a technical resource for Underwriters, other internal departments, agency partners and policyholders. Assist policyholders with identifying exposures and implementing effective controls to minimize risk.
Provide value-added services to assist in overall policyholder risk reduction strategies such as effective safety culture implementation, risk identification, program development assistance, safety training, resource assistance and loss analysis evaluation.
Market Loss Control department and Auto-Owners competitive differentiation to policyholders and agency partners with a focus on building positive and lasting relationships to bring in and retain profitable business.
Assist in the evolution of the Auto-Owners Loss Control Department by contributing technical skills and knowledge, expertise, ideas and working on projects to assist in achieving our vision. Mentor, coach and train new and less experienced Loss Control associates.

The This adjuster role is responsible for prompt and independent investigations and review of subrogation claims through effective coverage analysis and liability investigation. In this role, the adjuster is responsible for negotiations and interactions with insureds, claimants, adverse parties, and counsel. The successful candidate will evaluate risk transfer opportunities as well as ensuring appropriate investigation of the underlying facts and circumstances is carried out, proper experts are retained and utilized where necessary, selection and utilization of counsel is appropriate, and proper negotiation strategy is employed. This position reports to a line of business supervisor or manager.
This position may require hybrid attendance in an AmTrust location.
The expected salary range for this role is $46,600 - $60,000.

Responsibilities
* Investigates the claim or coverage by making timely and appropriate contact with involved or interested parties including but not limited to the insured or employer. representatives, claimant or injured party, witnesses, producers, and adverse parties.
* Documents strategy, action plan, and summary of correspondence in a clear, succinct, and fact-based manner.
* Notifies all potential parties, legal representatives, and insurance companies of our subrogation interest.
* Ensures quality and timely service is provided to all internal and external customers, whether directly or indirectly.
* While working with internal or assigned Legal Counsel, will build strong relationships, and apply company principles and standards.
* Effectively negotiates and resolves litigated and non-litigated subrogation claims, and leverages relationships to achieve optimal outcomes.
* Manages and controls loss adjustment expenses while pursuing the best potential recovery outcomes.
* Builds and leverages critical thinking and decision-making skills to gather, assess, analyze, question, verify, interpret, and understand key or root issues.
* Effectively prioritizes work while driving claims resolution for the best potential outcome.
* Escalates claims decisions regarding settlement determination when appropriate to management.
* Performs other functional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
* State licensure as required.
* Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office suites.
