AmTrust Financial Services, a fast-growing commercial insurance company, has an immediate need for a Claims Adjuster I - WC. The adjuster is responsible for the prompt and efficient examination, investigation, settlement or declination of worker's compensation insurance claims through effective research, negotiation and interaction with insures, and claimants, ensuring that company resources are utilized in a cost-effective manner in the process.
Responsibilities
Thoroughly investigating workers' compensation claims by contacting injured workers, medical providers, and employer representatives. Determining if claims are valid under applicable workers' comp statutes. Communicating with medical providers to develop and authorize appropriate treatment plans.
Reviewing and analyzing medical bills to confirm charges and treatment are workers' comp injury-related and in accordance with the treatment plan.
Ensuring payments for medical bills and income replacement are remitted on a timely basis in accordance with applicable fee schedules and statute
Answer questions regarding the status of pending claims from claimants, policyholders and medical providers.
Consult with attorneys regarding litigation management, settlement strategy and claim resolution
Qualifications
3+ years Workers Comp experience in New England States, preference Massachusetts or Connecticut. (NH, MA, NY, NJ, RI, or CT)
Licenses in NH, VT and RI
MS Office experience (Work, Excel, Outlook)
Effective negotiation skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to prioritize work load to meet deadlines
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities:
Perform advanced actuarial analyses in the following areas: valuation/reserving, pricing, product development, research/support, business planning and finance.
Manage the process by which we set peril-specific base rates for each of our states, brands, and programs.
Review and share state specific insights and assumptions to refine actuarially sound and customized indications for Home new and renewal books in the large complex states
Develop, track and utilize appropriate actuarial techniques and methodologies to forecast profitability at the state level to account for state-specific considerations while aligning with countrywide guidance.
Develop a deep understanding of the complex states in various aspects that contributed to the success of the whole state operations and underwriting economics, pursuing ad-hoc projects as needed to help support evaluation of state levers in underwriting, marketing, digital platform, distribution channel, and geographical risk management.
Independently identify, research and address knowledge gaps in our understanding of state unique market and regulatory environments, develop expertise, and document insights, methodologies and processes.
Collaborate with Actuarial, Finance, Claims, Product, Data & Modeling, Product Design, and other teams in Risk Analytics to assess and improve profitability positions in the complex states, leverage information from partners to assess the performance and impacts of new programs and product enhancements in these unique markets.
Understanding our business competitiveness and pricing accuracy across various segments in these states; highlight states/segments that are performing better/worse than expected based on key metric assumptions and state features.
Communicates findings and emerging trends to stakeholders, makes effective action recommendations and provides state profit and growth tactics insights.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required; Masters degree preferred.

Responsibilities
* Responsible for performance, development and coaching of staff (including hiring, terminating, performance and salary management). Serve as technical resource not only for claims staff, but also cross-functional partners, including Underwriting (UW), Actuarial, Finance and Operations.
* Work with claims team and external attorneys to review coverages, investigate claims, analyze liability and damages, establish adequate indemnity and expense reserves, develop strategies and resolve claims, including, but not limited to direct participation in mediation and arbitration and active participation in settlement discussions.
* Perform quality assurance reviews/observations and provide feedback to team as well as action plan for development of team, where necessary.
* Actively pursue all avenues of recovery including, but not limited to timely recovery of deductibles from insureds and manage subrogation activities.
* Provide regular reports to claims management regarding losses either exceeding or likely to exceed the authority level in accordance with best practices. Must be able to present effectively, produce appropriate reports and develop team and train team in these skills
* Partner with underwriting managers/team to provide excellent customer service and to market and meet with brokers, risk managers and reinsurers. Serve as external face claims leader for product line and demonstrate ability to forge and maintain relationships with external customers, effectively resolving concerns where necessary. Ability to effectively articulate the claims value proposition in claims advocacy meetings, account renewals and new business prospecting. Present at industry conferences or publishes external industry content.
* Lead short to medium-term strategic claims activities/priorities for the product line, with alignment with the strategic priorities of IronHealth and NAS Claims. Oversee projects assigned by the department head.
* Direct and manage the Claims participation and content for multidisciplinary reviews, monthly UW connectivity meetings, and quarterly actuarial meetings. Ensure timely feedback to senior management, underwriting and actuaries regarding relevant losses, account issues, and trends.
* Assist and coordinate with underwriting team regarding new policy forms, product development and/or product rollouts and provide timely feedback to senior management and underwriting regarding recommendations.
* Ability to achieve fluency in Loss Triangle interpretation and Product Level Profitability Understanding/Awareness.

The RN Clinical Care Coordinator will be the primary care manager for a panel of members with complex medical/behavioral needs. The US Retail Markets Personal Lines Auto Product Delivery and Development team is hiring for a Senior Analyst/Consultant on the Auto Product Frontier Team. OneAuto is a key component of the Frontier strategy; a multi-year business and technology transformation effort that aims to radically simplify and accelerate how US Retail Market goes to market, powered by a modern, future-ready unified insurance platform. This position will be responsible for evaluating our legacy book migration strategy. The work
is investigative and strategic: you will research legacy books, document coverage and rating logic, evaluate compatibility with OneAuto, and recommend whether and how each book should be migrated.
Key responsibilities of the role include:
Assess technical and product fit between each legacy book and the OneAuto/rating platform capabilities.
Develop a recommended migration strategy for each book including rationale, estimated effort, risk, and business impact.
Create clear decision artifacts and migration playbooks (impact analysis, acceptance criteria, mapping specifications, remediation tasks).
Work with Product, Modeling, IT, Data, Legal/Compliance, and Delivery teams to evaluate feasibility and implement migration plans.
Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders and drive consensus across business and technical partners.
Track migration status, risks, dependencies, and escalate issues as appropriate.
Support Frontier and OneAuto program priorities and timelines; adapt to changing scope and priorities.
Required Qualifications
Strong Auto insurance product knowledge (personal lines auto preferred); familiarity with policy forms, coverages,endorsements and rating concepts.
3+ years of relevant experience (product, rating, migration, business analysis, or similar) Comfortable working with technical teams; some hands-on technical aptitude required (data mapping, reading rating rules, ability to review configuration or rule code). Strong analytical skills and demonstrated ability to synthesize complex information into clear recommendations. Advanced Excel skills; experience with data analysis and reporting tools.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to create concise decision documents and present to senior stakeholders.
Strong organizational, planning, and project management skills; ability to manage multiple books/projects concurrently and work through ambiguity.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with rating platforms or policy administration systems
Familiarity with rating engines, rule engines, or rule configuration.
Basic SQL or data query experience
Prior experience evaluating legacy systems and defining migration approaches.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in mathematics, economics, statistics, or other quantitative field Minimum 4 year's relevant work experience, typically 6 years.

PRIMARY PURPOSE:
The RN Branch Manager for telephonic case management services will oversee operations as well as a team of experienced worker's compensation nurse case managers. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three (3) or more years' experience overseeing a nursing claims management program as well as in-depth understanding of worker's compensation injury claims and utilization management review programs. The Manager will lead the nurse case management team to strategize with claim professionals in management of medical and disability exposure, delivering quality telephonic case management to proactively drive best in class outcomes including appropriate medical treatment and engagement of the injured worker to achieve a safe and reasonable return to work. This position requires interaction with physicians, other medical providers, claims professionals, supervision, injured employees and employers.
Responsibilities
Manage, develop and direct staff to ensure the delivery of high-quality managed care services involving medical and disability case management achieving best in class outcomes for our customers and their injured workers.
Responsible for all oversight of operational and administrative activities within the department/unit.
Ensure staff adheres to established standards and protocols to effectively manage assigned caseload of medical and disability cases to evaluate and assess for optimal injured worker outcomes, continuous improvement opportunities, assure key performance metrics are met and/or exceeded.
Recruits, coaches, develops staff to broaden and strengthen the skill sets to further promote talent within the organization both laterally and management opportunities, creating a high performing results-oriented staff.
Management of performance management programs including communication of objectives, providing on-going coaching and conducting performance reviews, and as applicable initiate progressive disciplinary actions.
Manages salary (and no-salary) budgets, makes recommendations to Zonal Director and leadership concerning promotions, terminations, and staffing authorizations.
Acts as a technical expert and resource for staff which includes maintaining the highest level of authority within the department/unit specific office. Technical expertise and resource knowledge for all levels of care coordination from low to high severity or complex cases. Appropriately refers issues/concerns outside of authority level to Zonal Management level.
Ensures appropriate compliance with all legislation, corporate policies, and programs.
Assist Zonal Management and other departments with new business and/or renewal presentations and periodic claims service reviews.
Implements new and revised policies and procedures.
Performs additional duties and/or is assigned special projects as requested.
Qualifications
Education & Licensing
Ability to develop, manage and direct an office/unit operation and effectively communicate operational procedures to field/unit staff.
Demonstrated leadership and innovation in achieving results.
Advanced knowledge of principles and methods pertaining to the specific department, knowledge of department management practices, company operations (i.e. other staff and line departments), and policies.
Active unrestricted RN license in a state or territory of the United States with eligibility to get and/or renew a multistate license is required.
Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) from accredited college or university or equivalent work experience preferred.
National Certification in case management OR the ability to obtain certification within 24 months of employment is required.
Written and verbal fluency in Spanish and English preferred.
Experience
Overall five (5) years of related case management experience or equivalent combination of education and case management experience required to include three (3) years of management or leadership role experience in case management.
