About the Role
This position is for a Product Applications engineer in the Aerospace, Defense & Communications Group (ADC). This group develops ultra-wideband transceiver products for aerospace, defense, instrumentation, and satellite applications. As a Senior Product Applications Engineer, you will lead the creation of tools that assist customers in integrating ADI products into their designs. You will provide innovative, practical, and timely solutions to complex customer issues while developing and applying comprehensive system-level understanding of application segments. In this senior role, you'll work collaboratively within cross-discipline teams to bring new products to market, mentor junior team members, and serve as a technical authority for customers and internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
System-Level Expertise: Apply and expand comprehensive understanding of relevant application segments to solve complex integration challenges and optimize customer designs (Software, Hardware, and Systems)
Advanced Tool Development: Build solution platforms for application investigations, product evaluation, demonstration systems and reference designs for ADEF and Instrumentation markets. Write code to test and debug ultra-wideband transceiver product evaluation systems using lab test equipment.

Own installation of new tools at customer sites independently and only occasionally require guidance from managers. The KLA Services team headquartered in Milpitas, CA is our service organization that consists of Service Sales and Marketing, Spares Supply Chain management, Field Operations, Engineering, Product Training, and Technical Support. The KLA Services organization partners with our field teams and customers in all business sectors to maintain the high performance and productivity of our products through a flexible portfolio of services. Job Description/Preferred Qualifications
Own installation of new tools at customer sites independently and only occasionally require guidance from managers. Follow all procedure and provide a consistent result within specified Cycle Times and exercise judgment within generally defined practices and policies. Achieve a predictable production ready.
Troubleshoot and repair complex system level problem during installations using standard procedures, troubleshooting techniques and install BKMs to resolve system level problems which have multiple causes. Know when to escalate and provide clear communication with all previous actions and data to get the help needed.
Take full ownership of install administrative tasks such as preparations of field service reports and daily pass downs on Installation progress and non-conformances. Contribute to post-activity Quality Feedback Report.
Obtain all necessary international travel documents and manage their personal lives to be ready to travel for extended periods. Manage personal finances to prevent disruption to scheduled activities.

Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities:
* Work closely with AMD Sales and Field Applications engineers to drive design wins and support customers in achieving production
* Advise customers and sales team on design approaches to achieve optimal solutions, focused on embedded software architecture, optimization for AMD architecture. This may include some hardware aspects which include clocking and logic in programmable devices.
* Train customers on embedded software design methodologies for x86, FPGAs and SoCs
* Build hardware/software platforms using AMD's Vitis and Vivado tools
* Customize IP as needed to create reference designs for customers
* Support customers in debug of challenging design problems
* Provide regular feedback to AMD development teams on customers' application experiences and potential tools and IP improvements
* Occasional travel to customer sites required
Preferred Experience
* FPGA/SoC design flow experience
* Experience developing functional FPGA designs in RTL (Verilog/VHDL)
* Proven expertise in software build systems including Yocto, Petalinux, EDF, Platform Designer, or LatticeMicro
* Ability to read, write, and debug drivers and application programs in C/C++
* Ability to build and test Linux patches
* Familiarity with OSes such as QNX, VXWorks, Zephyr - toolchain, drivers, reference designs
* Experience with CPU/GPU system optimization, tuning, and benchmarking
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong presentation skills, and the ability to work effectively with multiple groups and external partners

Job Duties and Responsibilities
The RF Amplifier product development team is seeking a motivated Product Engineer to join ADI's Aerospace and Defense Business Unit. The team develops state of the art, industry leading amplifier (power, low noise, and differential), transmit/receive module, and limiter products. Products cover frequencies from low MHz through tens of GHz. The position is located in our Chelmsford, MA facility.
Key Responsibilities:
Advancement of RF products to market release.
Measurement of product performance from first silicon evaluation through product validation/characterization.
Analysis and plotting of data to share with the product team.
Definition and creation of test setups for measurement.
Product validation/characterization and associated test plan development.
Product specification and data sheet creation.
Collaboration as required with other functions such as design, test, applications, reliability, marketing, planning, etc.
Regular participation in data reviews, test plan reviews, and status meetings.
Requirements:
BS in Electrical Engineering with 2-3 years related work experience or MS in Electrical Engineering with 0-2 years related work or academic experience.
Solid understanding of basic electrical circuit theory.
