Responsibilities
This role is essential in ensuring compliance with legal requests and supporting the MTA/NYCT Operations. The incumbent will be required to perform a broad range of clerical tasks. Responsibilities include:
Responsible for the receipt, data entry, processing, and responding of high-volume Subpoenas and HIPAA Authorizations served upon the MTA/New York City Transit.
Reviewing subpoenas for legal sufficiency and coordinating with the attorneys, MTA Department managers, and liaisons.
Identifying, locating, and communicating with Department personnel who may possess responsive records.
Acting as a daily liaison with courts, district attorney offices, and other entities seeking records pursuant to subpoenas.
