Job Overview

We are looking for a Software Development Manager to join our growing Growth team as the Growth engineering data lead. You would be a people manager who can manage a medium sized team of data analysts, data scientists and data engineers. An ideal candidate would be one who has worked at the intersection of data science, data analysis, engineering and product design. As an SDM, you will own the execution/roadmap/vision of the growth science team and you will lead your team on executing important deliverables of growth research and analysis, tooling and associated data pipelines.

Responsibilities

* Build growth related data pipelines and tools to support the research and analysis.
* Partner with the data team to bring all relevant data from upstream to compute growth KPI's
* Support the internal teams of Product Managers, machine learning leads, and Data Engineers in coming up with a systematic strategy for growth.
* Lead the operational excellence charter for your team.
* Work with data scientists and ML engineers to build a systematic strategy for doing evaluations of various growth strategies.
* Work with other stakeholders to provide inputs on the growth charter.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

* Bachelor's or Masters' Degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, or a similar field.
* 3+ years of Management experience managing medium to large large teams.
* 6+ years of data science or engineering experience
* Good communication skills and ability to drive consensus amongst stakeholders and coordinate across multiple product teams

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

* Experience with Python, or R
* Experience with SQL
* Experience with industry wide analytical tools
* Experience with big data, data lake reporting, snowflake reporting
* Experience with DataBricks or other notebook based platforms (Jupyter, etc)

This position is for a motivated Mechanical Engineering graduate to participate with an Engineering Tools and Methods team of methods engineers developing parametric models, computer automation tools, and optimization workflows to explore multi-disciplinary design spaces. Automation tools include but are not limited to CAD, CAE, and post processing tools. Design space exploration generates data to be analyzed with Design for Variation techniques supporting optimization, probabilistic design and uncertainty quantification, leading to robust designs.
Key Responsibilities

+ Work with a team of Structures Engineers to develop state-of-the-art high cycle fatigue (HCF) and low cycle fatigue (LCF) methods for use in evaluating the next generation of jet engine components.

Basic Qualifications

+ Mechanical Engineering bachelor's degree program or related field

+ Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident "Green Card" holder due to government contracts

+ Minimum GPA of 3.0

+ Fluent in English (verbal/written)

Preferred Qualifications

+ This position requires 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships).

+ Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

+ Desire to learn

+ Desire to work in a creative, team environment

+ Interest in parametric geometry and finite element modeling, and structural engineering

+ Interested in both analytical work, as well as automation tools and methods

**Key Responsibilities**

+ Serve as an interface with sub-groups within a business unit and/or multiple GIS domains for the purpose of purpose of business and Business intelligence, big data and AI/ML technology strategy alignment, solution discovery, service management, project portfolio mgmt.

+ Architect and design complex Business intelligence, bid data and AI/ML solutions to address cross functional needs, and convert design to functional and technical specifications. Oversee software application and platform development, prepare and execute testing (unit, integration, performance, acceptance) and data conversions. Identifies and recommend industry BKM's for integrated solution design and standards;

+ Provides and/or oversees BI, Bidg Data and AI/ML application and platform support services to meet customer performance, availability, service level agreemens and customer satisfaction targets. Ovresees monitoring of specific IT systems or set of systems and tuning of such systems for availability and performance. Drives completion of root cause analysis and resolution of outages or incident trends coordinating with infrastructure and technical teams, support providers and application vendors. Drives implemention of corrective and preventative actions. Evaluates/recommends/plans lifecycle for patches, point releases, and major upgrades.

+ Delivers project and support services within area of responsibility within allocated budget. Develops project budgets. Develops understanding cost model and cost drivers for service(s) and recommend service area budgets and cost optimization activities. May be responsible for timely renewal of maintenance and subscription contracts.

+ Ensures adherence to GIS project management, software application development, testing, service management, change management, RCA and other relevant processes, standards, governance and controls. May manage execution of sox contols and testing, and support internal and external audits.

+ Plan and manage medium to large scale Business intelligence, Big Data or AI/ML application or platform projects to ensure effective and efficient execution in line with guardrails of scope, timeline, budget and quality. May serve as a Business Intelligence, Big Data, or AI/ML team lead on a large, complex, cross functional project.

+ Oversees/manages contingent workers performing Business Intelligence, Big Data and AI/ML services across multiple projects or service areas. Responsible for the selection, onboarding and offboarding of contingent workers in a timely manner. Manges contingent worker project/task assignments and ensure work product quality. Approves contingent worker timesheets/costs.
