Anaplan company history timeline
Anaplan was founded in 2006 and currently, it has established markets in 13 different countries and employs nearly 2,000 people.
Founded in 2008, Anaplan provides cloud-based planning software across various use cases—including finance, sales, supply chain, operations and human resources.
In 2010, four years after officially founding the company, it sold its first product.
The company released its first planning product in 2011.
In 2012, Anaplam raised $11.2 million in its Series B funding round.
In 2013, the company again had another round of funding (Series C) in which it raised $33 million.
The company eventually started its acquisition and in 2013 bought Vue Analytics, one of its resellers based in the UK. The monetary terms were not disclosed to the public.
By 2014, the company was able to raise a handsome amount of money from the investor.
In 2016, Anaplam conducted another round of funding and it received $90 million from it.
Anaplan went public in October 2018 at $17 a share, with an opening trade at $24.25.
In fiscal 2019 (ended January), Anaplan’s revenue rose 43% to $240.6 million, driven by 45% growth in subscription revenue.
Anaplan operates in a total addressable market (TAM) estimated by research firm IDC to be worth $17 billion, on its way to approximately $21 billion in 2021.
