In 2018 he was named president, Refining, Marketing and Supply. He assumed his current position in 2019.

Mr. Templin is a graduate of Grove City College, a certified public accountant and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He attended the Oxford Institute for Energy Studies in 2012.

Mr. Templin serves on the board of directors of MPLX GP LLC. He previously served on the board of directors of Calgon Carbon Corporation until its sale in March 2018. Mr. Templin is a member of the Grove City College Board of Trustees. He is also a member of the downstream committee of the American Petroleum Institute (API).
