Job Description
The Operations Professional Assistant provides administrative and operational support to the Operations Department, ensuring smooth day-to-day functions and continuity of service. This role balances office coordination, data management, and hands-on operational responsibilities. The PA will assist with inventory, CMMS work orders, vendor coordination, reporting, and special projects as needed. This position is cross trained to provide coverage in the absence of the Operations Clerk or Receiving/Shipping Coordinator.
The PA models effective leadership principles, drives a culture of accountability, and maintains a safe and organized work environment.

REPSONSIBILTIES:
Ensures effective communication, accurate documentation, and smooth coordination of office activities in a fast-paced, high-demand environment.
Ensures timely entry, tracking, and reporting of maintenance activities to support operational efficiency and data-driven decision-making.
Provides backup coverage for Operations Clerk or Shipping/Receiving duties as needed.
Responsible for coordinating with external vendors and contractors, supporting departmental projects, and ensuring accurate communication and documentation of services to maintain operational efficiency and accountability.
Responsible for managing vendor invoices and tracking project-related expenses to ensure accurate financial records, budget compliance, and timely reporting.
Maintain respect, professionalism, and courtesy in all interactions with colleagues, supervisors, families, and stakeholders.
Demonstrate accountability in using resources, ensuring they are utilized efficiently and sustainably to benefit individuals and the organization.
REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma or GED.
Minimum 5 years of experience in office operations, facilities, warehouse, or logistics environments.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel; experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) preferred.
Must be able to lift and move up to 40 lbs and assist with projects or warehouse tasks.
Strong organizational, communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills required.
Ability to analyze and interpret operational and facilities-related data, and balance administrative and hands-on operational tasks.
Must be proactive, client-service oriented, and able to take initiative in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.

Supervise and train Maintenance Workers (including office cleaning staff), as well as maintenance administrative staff.

Job Description
Provides therapeutically appropriate level of student supervision and training to ensure and protect student health and safety, and provides for increased student independence through age appropriate, functional means.
Pay Range: $17.25 - $20.92 Hourly; Based on education and experience.
Monday to Friday: 8:00 AM - 3:30 PM
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Attends to the educational, physical, social, and emotional needs of students while assisting the classroom teacher in the implementation of students' IEP goals.
Follows classroom schedule ensuring individual student's goals are implemented and appropriate therapy carryover is accomplished within the structured educational environment.
Assists in the organization and arrangement of the classroom in order to provide a conducive learning environment.
Assists in the classroom according to staffing patterns and students' needs and conducts individual and group activities according to the established curriculum.
Escorts and assists students to and from school buses while providing opportunities or increased independence in mobility and orientation.
Attends and actively participates in staff meetings and job skill trainings.
Follows all agency policy and procedures and demonstrates continuous regard for student safety, personal safety, and the safety of others.
REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma or Equivalent
NYS Certified Teaching Assistant
Consideration will be given to applicants who are not currently NYS Certified Teaching Assistant if the process to become certified is started within 3 months of hire.
Must maintain qualifications in the crisis intervention procedure of the agency.
Must be capable at all times of initiating or assisting in all components of the crisis intervention of the agency.
Must be capable at all times of assisting occupants in the orderly evacuation of the facility, by both primary and secondary paths in the event of a fire or other emergency.

What Can Transitions Offer You?
A Peer Mentor can earn between $19.12 - $22.64 per/hour
Unique shifts that allow for up to 40 hours within three days
Thursday - Saturday, or Saturday - Tuesday shifts available
Live-in, day, evening, and weekend shifts available
Paid training
Both full-time and part-time positions are available

Qualifications:

Proven track record in raising funds through diverse channels, including major gifts, planned giving, grants, corporate sponsorships, and annual campaigns. Experience with grant writing and grant management, particularly with government, foundation, and corporate grants. Project and event management experience, particularly managing fundraising campaigns and special events.
Strong computer literacy skills in MS Office including Word, Excel, and knowledge of MS PowerPoint required. Must successfully complete all pre-screening requirements required by regulation. Must possess a valid New York State driver's license and can travel to all counties (Albany, Fulton, and Schoharie) as needed using own vehicle.
