Summary:

Practices within applicable state laws, appropriate boards, and in accordance with his/her/their SA/SCA and delineation of privileges.

Provide confidential guidance and support to residents and faculty in areas such as well-being, burnout/resilience, interpersonal communication, conflict resolution, leadership development, interprofessional collaboration, and academic/career advancement.
Develop and implement longitudinal curricula in behavioral medicine, professionalism, career development, and wellness.
Advise programs on behavioral medicine and resident wellness within the educational context.
Offer educational resources and consultation on the psychosocial aspects of medical care, including strategies for understanding and addressing common mental health conditions from an educational standpoint.
Note: This position does not involve direct clinical care of patients, but plays a vital role in supporting the behavioral health needs of learners and ensuring alignment with ACGME accreditation and curricular expectations.
Minimum Qualifications
Required Education:
Doctoral degree (PhD or PsyD) in Psychology
Major/Area of Concentration: Behavioral Health, Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, Behavioral Science, or related field
Preferred Education:
Doctoral degree (PhD, PsyD, or EdD) in Clinical or Counseling Psychology, or related field
Additional training in medical education, health professions education, or organizational leadership

Work collaboratively with intra and interdepartmental staff to administer treatment for behavioral health patients utilizing nationally recognized treatment standards and documenting utilizing an electronic health record system
Conduct exams and write evaluations and reports
Order and interpret diagnostic testing
Manage medication
Make referrals for specialized care or treatment
Perform duties in accordance with scope of practice; ODRC policies, procedures, protocols; and related ACA standards
Participate in continuous quality improvement meetings and activities, including peer reviews
Provide or share responsibilities of institutional 24-hour on-call as needed (provision of on-call services are included as part of the normal job duties and do not garner extra compensation)
Engage in collaborative agreements, as needed
