He has led more than 40 transactions in the asset management industry and has a long history of creating successful, collaborative relationships among affiliates. Prior to the formation of Rosemont, David worked as an investment banker at Smith Barney and Legg Mason.

John Hsu

Most recently John was Head of Capital Markets where he led Angel Oak’s entry into the Non-QM asset class by laying the structural foundation for Angel Oak’s private credit strategies and founded the Angel Oak Mortgage Trust securitization shelf. Prior to that, John ran operations, compliance and risk as COO. In that role John created the legal, operational, and compliance aspects of the Angel Oak Multi-Strategy Income Fund.

Before joining Angel Oak, John was a Senior Vice President in Ocwen Financial Corporation’s Alternative Investment Group, where he developed partnerships that invested in NPLs and created investments in MSRs and Servicer Advances. He was also at SunTrust, MBIA and J.P. Morgan, where he focused on the creation and marketing of structured credit products, mainly focusing on Collateral Loan Obligations.

John holds B.S. and B.A. degrees in Industrial Engineering and Economics from Rutgers University and an M.B.A. from Cornell University’s Johnson Graduate School of Management.
