Animal Supply Co. CEO and leadership

Mr. Batterson serves as the Chief Operations Officer/EVP Operations for the Animal Supply Company located in Irving, TX and reports to the CEO and Board of Directors. ASC is the industry distribution leader covering all 50 US states and is the champion of the independent pet retail stores. His span of control includes +20 Distribution facilities, Private fleet, Procurement, Quality, Safety, Engineering, Maintenance, Planning, Operations, Logistics, and Information Technology.

Prior to Animal Supply Company, Batterson served as the SVP of the Supply Chain reporting to the CEO for Dymatize a Sports Nutrition company located in Dallas, TX. His functional span of control includes: Procurement, Quality, Safety, Engineering, Maintenance, Planning, Operations, Logistics, and Contract Manufacturing. Batterson helped Dymatize sell the company to POST Holdings in early 2014.

Before Dymatize, Batterson acted as the Vice President of the Supply Chain at Dean Foods in Dallas where he held end-to-end responsibilities on all facets of the supply chain closely partnered with sales. This includes the procurement through finished goods and delivery, moving goods from a raw state to the customer in three to four days. He also created a plan for the overall change management of the culture, including standardization, future capabilities, and synchronization for the future state of Dean Foods.

Prior to Dean foods, he also held managerial and executive-level positions at PepsiCo, where he worked from 1989 to 2009. From 2005 to 2009, he served as the Vice President of the Supply Chain Capability and Optimization for Foods, Tropicana, Gatorade, and CSD’s. During this role, Mr. Batterson oversaw the entire supply chain for Quaker, Tropicana and Gatorade with responsibility for $1,700,000,000 SAP development and implementation across 150 sales, manufacturing and logistics locations. He served as the project team leader for 200 business members and 600 technical members.
