POSITION DESCRIPTION: Pullet Farm General Labor Team Members duties include, but are not limited to, caring for the pullets, cleaning the barns, helping enforce pest management procedures, ensuring the birds have constant access to feed and water, and monitoring lighting, temperature and air quality. Pullets are cared for 7 days/week. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: * Care for the pullets. * Cleaning the houses. * Ensure proper water and feed levels at all times. Monitor for water leaks. * Ensure proper ventilation and temperatures, taking appropriate action when needed. * Participate in maintenance of houses, equipment, and fans if needed. * Any other duties as indicated by management (includes help with production, feed, water, pits, mortality, and pest control.) QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS: * Able to work with live animals. * Able to lift up to 25lbs frequently and up to 50lbs occasionally. * Able and willing to work around moving machinery. * Able to stand for 8-12 hours per day. * Willing to comply with all Rose Acre's safety, employment, and GMP policies including working in a 100% smoke-free environment. * Ability to comply with the strictest standards for animal welfare and to report incidents of abuse, neglect, or breach of bio-security in order to preserve the health and welfare of our birds.
