The Anderson County Hospital Association was organized and incorporated in 1906, and fundraising efforts increased under the association's president, Richard S. Ligon.
Anderson County Hospital opened its doors on April 20, 1908, and admitted its first patient a day later.
In 1949 the hospital grew to an 88-bed facility and was sold to community leaders who formed a non-profit organization.
2005 - AnMed Health Women's and Children's Hospital opens.
2007 - A new mission, vision and building blocks were introduced to the staff.
