General Summary of Position Responsibility:
Reporting to the Surgeon-in-Chief and Chair, Department of Surgery at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago, the Division Head of Dentistry has shared responsibility for the missions of clinical care, education, research, and advocacy for the Division. This position provides program support and is responsible to the Surgeon-in-Chief for the clinical and academic mission of the team. The Division Head has broad responsibilities for the overall operations of the academic and occupational programs within the Division. This position requires both teaching, clinical, and administrative duties and is an important link between the providers and the administration.
Area Specific Job Accountabilities:
Plan, organize and direct activities within the Division to support the clinical, training, and advocacy missions of the Medical Center. Support and/or organize research related activities within the Division.
Work in collaboration and positively across disciplines and sites to achieve organizational goals and objectives including with other Executive leaders.
Recruit, develop and retain clinical faculty and trainees.
Collaborate on strategic direction for operations and services for the Division including the perioperative and procedural areas, ambulatory settings, and inpatient care as necessary.
Partner with key leaders and stakeholders to optimize performance of Perioperative/Surgical operations.
Support the expansion and growth of surgical and procedural services in support of the Medical Center outreach strategies.
Communicate with surgical and procedural partners to ensure best practices and to identify and promote various opportunities for faculty and trainees of the Division.
Partner to maintain a quality and safety program within the division that improves safety and key metrics performance.
Develop and coordinate short-and long-range goals for the Division and Faculty ensuring that Divisional activities enhance the objectives of the Department.
Exhibit fiscal responsibility by collaborating with all billing, coding and collections for the professional group
Represent the Division as a leader and serve as committee member as requested by the Department Chair.
Serve as a committee member and actively participate in medical center-wide leadership groups.
Partner with the program director to ensure program development, review, and evaluation of the curriculum are being assessed.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Licensed physician (DDS or DMD) in the State of Illinois with board certification in Pediatric Dentistry.
Graduate of an accredited dental school.
Completion of an accredited pediatric dental residency program.
7-10 years experience practicing in pediatric dentistry.
7-10 years preferred experience practicing in an academic or hospital setting.
A professional profile as a leader in pediatric dentistry.
Experience working in partnership with multiple constituents throughout an organization. This includes achieving consensus through presentations, thought leadership, partnership, and relationship building throughout the organization.
Knowledge of organization policies, procedures, systems and objectives. Knowledge of fiscal management and human resource management techniques.
Excellent leadership skills with demonstrated ability to effectively lead in a changing environment.
Knowledge of governmental regulations and compliance requirements; able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a wide range of managers, regulators, payers, contractors, vendors, customers, etc.

Assumes the day-to-day responsibility for integrating anesthesia preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative charting into operational practices with the focus on EPIC systems, workflow, and reporting functions. Essential Job Functions:
Supports the needs of the Anesthesia department through system maintenance, implementation, upgrades, and ongoing enhancements. This includes supporting reporting functions of those systems.

Performs key system functions by collaborating with key stakeholders to support Anesthesia practice.
Supports Anesthesia Leadership, IM and staff, the development, implementation, maintenance and monitoring of Anesthesia information systems.
Advances Anesthesia clinical information systems through education by serving as a resource for Anesthesia staff regarding information systems.
Measures and evaluates the outcomes of Anesthesia information systems.
Provides for the technical build, implementation, and support for the application. This requires an understanding of current workflows of ordering and documenting.
Co-leads design, build and validate sessions. This includes working with the team to investigate the preferred choices of the clinical operation team.
Establishes change protocol procedures for the system. This includes prioritizing and implementing changes requested for the system.
Coordinates activities of assigned projects or particular phases of a given project. Develop detailed work plans, timelines, and identifies appropriate resources needed and provides timely status reports.
Responsible for projects within the specification of the project management schedule. Builds and maintains a catalog of decision points as it relates to the build of the system. Evaluates system utilization and performance through collecting information regarding potential system enhancement needs.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university.

Summary:

General Summary:
The Neurodiagnostic (ND) Tech Assistant is a support position in the Epilepsy Center and/or Clinical Neurophysiology areas, with duties designed to be flexible to meet the specific needs of the department. The ND Tech Assistant assists the Neurodiagnostic Technologists by facilitating the workflow of the department. Individuals in the ND Assistant role will have demonstrated strong communication and collaboration skills and the ability to achieve results in a team environment. Active participation in an intensive EEG training program will be required including the completion of ASET online learning modules. Completion of internal competencies as well as hands on coaching required to successfully transition into the Neurodiagnostic Technologist role.
This role is a 12-month long Neurodiagnostic training program. It will start as a day shift and then will rotate to night shift about halfway through program.
Essential Job Functions:
Assists Neurodiagnostic Techs with tasks for the successful acquisition of routine and/or video EEG data for patients as requested.
Report all observed patient concerns and changes in condition to the ND Technologists.
Disconnects patient from the electrodes, cleans and removes equipment from the patient room at the conclusion of the study.
Performs cleaning of equipment, bed rail pads, and restocks supplies as needed. All equipment and supplies will be cleaned according to policy and maintained in the appropriate dirty/clean holding areas.
Works cooperatively as a team member to foster achievement of unit/hospital goals.
Actively completes EEG 200-211 courses through the ASET program.

Job Description
The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago is seeking a pediatric neuropsychologist who will join a multidisciplinary child and adolescent psychiatry department to work with children and adolescents followed in the Pediatric Neurosurgery subspecialty clinics for pediatric neurovascular disease, with potential opportunities to work with patients with epilepsy and brain tumors. This is full-time non-tenure-eligible Clinician-Educator faculty level position.
The successful applicant will have Duties include:
1) conducting screenings, consultations, and evidence-based neuropsychological evaluations of children and adolescents with medical, psychiatric, and neurodevelopmental disorders
2) teaching in multidisciplinary child health and mental health training programs
3) engagement in research or other scholarly activities
Qualified candidates will have obtained a PhD from a clinical psychology training program and completed an APA-approved internship specializing in clinical child or pediatric psychology. The individual will also have completed a fellowship in pediatric neuropsychology and be board certified or eligible for board certification in clinical neuropsychology. Experience with children/adolescents with endocrine and genetic disorders is preferred; experience with other medical populations is highly desirable. Spanish fluency is also highly desirable.
K.S.A.'s:
Minimum education required to perform job: a doctoral degree in clinical psychology with appropriate internship and a two-year post-doctoral fellowship in clinical child neuropsychology. If degree is in a related area (e.g., human development) must have completed APA approved internship.
Required licensure and/or certification: Must be licensed in the State of Illinois prior to start date. If employee is license-eligible, employee must obtain license and be granted clinical privileges before start date.
Experience conducting neuropsychological examinations in the context of pediatric epilepsy care, and collaborating with a pediatric epilepsy surgical planning team.
Experienced in creating appropriate paradigms for fMRI exams and well versed in their administration.
Experience in the design, administration, and analysis of functional imaging examinations such as fMRI, MEG, and EEG-fMRI.
Experience in design, administration, and analysis of other functional brain mapping examinations using techniques such as Wada, subdural grid electrical stimulation, awake intra-operative language mapping, and Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation.
Understanding of the MRI environment and able to collaborate with the MR technologist, MR physicist, and neuroradiologist.
Knowledge of the basic applications of advanced neuroimaging post-processing techniques.
Trained in aspects of clinical and/or behavioral translational research.
Ability to think proactively, act creatively, and take initiative appropriately. Excellent verbal and written communication, critical-thinking, and interpersonal skills.
Documented track record of academic productivity/potential, including peer-reviewed publications and grant applications.
Demonstrated ability to work as a part of a multidisciplinary team.

Maintains appropriate and timely clinical documentation in the electronic medical record.
Reports fMRI results in a consistent templated manner.
Writes letters, notes, and formal clinical reports on patient contacts. Communicates progress over the telephone and via the electronic medical record, as appropriate.
Provides individual, group, and family therapy to children, adolescents, and their families.
Follows protocols and procedures of the Department of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry and Lurie Children's Hospital.
Participates in the APA-approved internship training program and training programs for psychology practicum students and fellows, the social work student training program, and the child and adolescent psychiatry and general psychiatry residency program by preparing and presenting seminar topics and providing supervision to psychology trainees.
Collaborates and consults with medical providers, schools, and social service agencies as well as city, county, and state funding and placement agencies through oral and written presentation of clinical findings and recommendations. Completes all case management duties of assigned cases including discharge planning, completion of the diagnostic evaluation and referrals to appropriate support services as needed.
Participates in rounds, patient care conferences, diagnostic and treatment staffing team meetings, multidisciplinary case conferences, and discipline-specific team meetings.

The Child Life Specialist is a clinical expert in child development, emotional safety, and trauma-informed care who provides assessment and intervention to mitigate and reduce negative experiences within the medical setting. Provides leadership, expertise and knowledge of child development within the context of challenging medical experiences to support patient's and caregivers' coping, emotional safety and encouraging optimum development.
Essential Job Functions:
Integrates emotional safety into care of patients and families through individualized care and quality improvement projects. This includes timely, effective, and trauma-informed interventions focused on preparation, education, and support within a developmentally attuned framework.
Develops therapeutic relationships with patients and caregivers to provide a psychosocial assessment of their emotional support and overall coping needs. Demonstrates a steady commitment to anti-bias practices throughout their work with a focus on diversity, equity and inclusion.
Builds and maintains positive, collaborative relationships with interdisciplinary team members to address individual patient care goals as well as impact broader systems and policy toward systemic change. Participates in team conferences, rounds, staff meetings, new staff member orientation, and in-service education as appropriate.
Facilitates practical, theoretical, and clinical training regarding the psychosocial care of children, via formal and informal educational lectures to all members of patient care teams and hospital staff. Serves as a subject matter expert on unit based, hospital wide, interdisciplinary committees, articulating the therapeutic and clinical nature of the work done by child life staff. Assists in preparation and dissemination of information representing the hospital and Child Life Program to community groups, organizations, and the news media.
Works to meet institutional and team goals and assumes responsibility for professional development through participation in seminars, course work, and/or hospital education programs to develop and maintain professional credentials in pursuit of realizing and standardizing trends of best practice(s).

Minimum Requirements:

Job Description
The Research Project Manager will work with Principal Investigator(s) and Research Manager to manage, oversee, and guide ongoing complex research projects to ensure project deliverables and timelines meet expectations. May assist in daily supervisory responsibilities of study/project team members.
Essential Job Functions:
Manages programmatic activities for multiple internally and externally funded, complex research projects, and subsequent activities related to additional and ongoing funding.
Coordinates and manages defined projects consistent with the current, externally funded project plan and future projects.
Oversee operations of ongoing research projects and develops/troubleshoots workflows and processes as needed when challenges arise.
Responsible for pre-award and post-award activities relating to sponsored research grant proposals and projects in conjunction with the Research Business Operations (RBO) offices.
Works with the Research Business Operations (RBO) offices and Office of Clinical and Community Trials (OCCT) to facilitate contract negotiations and execution, to ensure proper accrual tracking, and to provide additional information as needed for timely financial reconciliation, management, and reporting.
Partners with program leaders to develop and oversee relationships with key internal and external stakeholders. This includes working with outside partners (e.g., collaborators, funders, subcontractors, consultants, etc.) and Lurie Children's administrative.
This may include attending all appropriate business meetings, and external meetings, seminars and other activities deemed appropriate in the US and internationally.
Assists with onboarding and training of additional study team members conducting day-to-day activities for ongoing research projects.
Leads the dissemination of research findings through publication preparation, collaboration on abstracts and posters for scientific meetings, presentation of research at national meetings, coordination of presentations at research education conferences, and overseeing the preparation and evaluation of abstracts, posters, and manuscripts.
Contributes to the overall research program leadership through planning, interdisciplinary communication, and collaboration.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Bachelor's degree with four or more years research experience required. Master's degree and/or relevant research certification preferred.
Excellent organizational skills with ability to manage multiple simultaneous studies.
Excellent verbal and written communications skills. Provides high-quality customer service. Excellent knowledge of FDA, HSR, and GCP Guidelines.
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to understand financial data, recognize quantitative and qualitative research methods.
Remains agile and adaptable plus assists in implementation of various technological systems. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, problem solve, and mentor other team members.
Ability to foster an inclusive environment where all team members feel valued and respected.

Essential Job Functions:
Provides direct patient care in a therapeutic environment focusing on areas of behavior modification, improved social skills, more effective coping skills, etc.
Completes duties assigned by charge nurse, clinical managers and/or manager of clinical services
Leads and co-leads milieu activities per program. Actively sets and communicates age/developmentally appropriate individual goals, expectations and behavior limits within the parameters of the program.
Implements plans of care and individual behavior programs initiated by team.
Assists in group therapy, recreational therapy, classroom and other activities as assigned. Maintains safety in the milieu, utilizing prevention and de-escalation CPI techniques.
Independently performs unit specific procedures, protocols and precautions. Intervenes in anticipated emergency situations and knows emergency protocols. Communicates changes in health or behavior to appropriate staff (nurse, primary therapist, physician, etc.) Documents patient status and progress in patient's medical record as per program guidelines
Supports clinical operations and decisions related to treatment plans Responds to environmental concerns (maintenance/cleanliness) of the area. Participates in staff meetings as scheduled Consistently adheres to scheduling requirements.
Attends and participates in in-services, professional presentations, conferences, etc. Maintains MYRs.
Performs job functions adhering to service principles with customer service focus of innovation, service excellence and teamwork to provide the highest quality care and service to our patients, families, co-workers and others.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Bachelor's degree required in psychology, nursing, social services or other related fields.
Minimum of one year of direct experience in a mental health setting, paid or unpaid, preferred.
Must have strong knowledge of basic childcare and development, mental disorders affecting children, signs of physical abuse/neglect, appropriate adult conduct towards normal and disturbed children, etc.
