childhood games, where I instinctively assumed the role of the announcer, bringing a
touch of grandeur to every swing and tackle. It was there, amid the innocence of youth,
that the seed of my dream was planted.
Influenced by legends like Vin Scully, Mean Gene Okerlund, Howard Finkle, and Trevor
Denman I honed my craft, infusing our backyard broadcasts with their flair and finesse.
But my aspirations didn't stop there; my love for music introduced me to the world of
radio broadcasting, where icons like Paul Harvey, Dick Clark, and Casey Kasem
captivated my imagination.
The dream found its first taste of reality when I stepped into the cage as an announcer
for Chaos Combat in Oklahoma. It was a surreal moment, a culmination of years of
longing and anticipation. My journey continued with Primal Fight League and the historic
first ever MMA event at the Olympic Training Center, each experience enriching my
passion and reaffirming my purpose.
Then came the call from Coach Vern Earwood, a beacon of opportunity beckoning me
back to the cage. With Sparta Sports and Entertainment, I found myself on a new stage,
announcing bouts that surpassed even my wildest dreams—an IBF World
Championship, a WBC World Championship, each moment etching itself into the fabric
of my memory.
But beyond the titles and the arenas, it's the profound connection to the fighters that
fuels my fire. Whether in front of a handful of spectators or a stadium packed to the
rafters, I announce each competitor with the same reverence and enthusiasm, honoring
their dedication and valor.
I stand on the shoulders of giants, inspired by the passion and dedication of those who
came before me. And as I step into the ring, I carry their legacy forward, channeling
their spirit into every word spoken, every moment shared. For me, announcing isn't just
a job—it's a calling, a testament to the power of dreams and the unwavering
determination to see them through.
