Jay Dettling is a Chief Executive Officer at Ansira and is based in Greater Chicago Area. Jay attended Northwestern University until 2001, KELLOGG SCHOOL OF MANAGEMENT between 1999 and 2001, and University of Notre Dame between 1989 and 1993.

As Ansira CMO, Simms is responsible for the firm’s overall strategic marketing efforts, external communication, and business development. He is the Founder and previous CEO of BrightWave, the leading email, eCRM and cross-channel agency, acquired by Ansira in 2019. Jenkins is also the founder of EIQ: The intelligent email gathering, an annual conference focused on email performance and innovation. Prior to founding BrightWave, Simms lead CRM at Cox Interactive Media. Jenkins' accolades include the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Atlanta Interactive Marketing Association, Marketer of the Year from the American Marketing Association, the Email Marketer of the Year at the Tech Marketing Awards, and the 2020 Thought Leader of the Year from the ANA/Email Experience Council. He is the author of industry-defining books “The New Inbox” and “The Truth About Email Marketing,” as well as a keynote speaker and contributing writer for Forbes on marketing and leadership topics. Simms serves on several nonprofit organizations in Atlanta, where he currently lives with his wife and three children.
