Do truckers pay for gas?

Truckers pay for gas in two different ways. Typically, truck drivers either pay for gas by using a company card or by using their own funds and then get reimbursed by the company they work for.

Generally, if a truck driver is paying for gas using their own funds, they need to save their receipts to turn in to their employers. Then, on their next paycheck, the money they used for that gas is reimbursed and added to their normal wages. This can sometimes be seen negatively as it requires the drivers to first use their money and then wait for a reimbursement.
