Yes, Actalent drug tests all potential new hires. This includes those that are in the hiring process for engineering or technician positions. Actalent has a strict drug-free workplace policy and this is reflected in the company's drug screening during the pre-employment process and the right it holds to randomly drug test current employees.
The company requires a drug screening for all potential hires and does ask current employees to submit to a drug test in certain circumstances. Actalent asks candidates to take a urine drug test at an independent lab in order to be considered eligible for employment.
The company also requests a drug test for employees that are under suspicion of being under the influence of drugs or alcohol while working. Actalent uses a full-panel drug test to screen for substances. Here are the substances that are screened for in a full-panel drug test:
