This question is about Apple.
No, Apple does not drug test. Apple's official policy states what you do on your personal time is your business as long as you don't bring it to work and as long as it doesn't affect your job performance. This is not surprising when you consider the founder of the company, Steve Jobs, has been known to partake in recreational drugs to help spark creativity and innovation.
That does not mean that it's okay to come to work intoxicated. In fact, Apple has a strict policy against drug and alcohol use as outlined in their code of conduct. Their policy clearly states that they do not permit employees to be under the influence of any legal or illegal drug that impairs their ability to perform their job.
Employees are also prohibited from manufacturing, soliciting, distributing, possessing, or using any illegal drugs or substances in the workplace, or while working. They expect employees to use good judgment and keep in mind that they are expected to perform to their full ability at work.
The use of tobacco and nicotine-related products is allowed outside in designated areas as long as it does not impact work performance.
